Congress Parkway Bridge, carring Ida B. Wells Drive over the South Branch of Chicago River, connects Chicago Loop, Interstate 90, and Interstate 290.

In July 13th, 1953, Chicago City Council agreed to name this bridge the Wagner Memorial Bridge, 3 days after 14th Ward Alderman Clarence P. Wagner passed away[1]. 60 years later, a new plaque dedicating the bridge was replaced, with Alderman Wagner's son and 2 grandsons present[1].

Repairs

Since April 1st, 2010, this bridge became closed for 2 years for repairs, until May 15th, 2012, when Governor Pat Quinn announced its delayed re-opening, with a cost of $33 million[2].
