Rollback

[edit]

My next logical request for permission, one that I don't suppose I can utilize alongside Ultraviolet to stop the bad faith one-timers and vandals where I watch. Although, I must admit, I should simultaneously take care to not get into any content dispute I see; I'll do my best not to get into one this way. Thanks for considering (again). 2601AC47 (talk·contribs·my rights) Isn't a IP anon 01:40, 1 December 2024 (UTC)

P.S.: as a sure guarantee my use of rollback is done safely and without causing any significant issue, I'll use Mr. Stradivarius' ConfirmRollback. 2601AC47 (talk·contribs·my rights) Isn't a IP anon 01:45, 1 December 2024 (UTC)
2601AC47, a confirmation click before rollback has become a feature that doesn't need userscripts anymore. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 00:08, 15 December 2024 (UTC)

I have been reverting vandalism since I created my account. Although it appears I am a new user, I also have experience editing Wikipedia and reverting vandalism as an IP for many years (which I will not be disclosing due to security concerns). The rollback right will help me revert vandalism faster, which is why I am requesting it. PersonAccount 🐉 (talk) 20:08, 13 December 2024 (UTC)

PersonAccount, to be honest, no, it doesn't appear you are a new user. Which is okay if all previous activity was without having an account and without disruption. It will take longer than for other users until the trust for manually granting permissions is there in your case. It isn't yet, to me. Unless someone else grants rollback in the next week or so, I'll decline this with a recommendation not to ask for permissions until your account is a year old. Regarding rollback in particular, Twinkle and Ultraviolet will do just fine. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 02:11, 15 December 2024 (UTC)

Reason for requesting rollback rights: I'm quite active in the Recent Changes, and having the rollback feature would make reverting vandalism easier and quicker. jolielover♥talk 07:00, 15 December 2024 (UTC)

Hello I'm Ampil. I'm fighting vandalism again, and I'm quite active in the Recent Changes. I use AntiVandal tools like AntiVandal and Ultraviolet. After Fastily retired on November 19, 2024, I have more than 200 vandalism reverts in the last 4 months, and I meet all minimum requirements. The rollback rights would make it easier. declined requests:

  1. [1] The account age 2 weeks.
  2. [2] ~2 weeks last declined. You need wait 1 month.
  3. [3] Please see 3rd, decline reason.

Thanks. ~🌀 Ampil 💬 / 📝 08:26, 15 December 2024 (UTC)

Hello Ampil, you're applying to review others' contributions to an English encyclopedia. Please provide a request without significant grammatical errors. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 02:17, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
@ToBeFree: I fixed all significant grammatical errors. ~🌀 Ampil 💬 / 📝 03:11, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
Ivebeenhacked kindly did so on your request. Also, "I'm quite active in the Recent Changes" seems to have been copied from the request above yours. I find Rosguill's granting of the new page reviewer permission highly optimistic, looking at the page deletion of a good article review because The reviewer's messages are not close to comprehendible. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 07:43, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
n.b. that was a trial run conferral, although if I'd seen the GAR deleted by Liz I would have declined for the same reasons. signed, Rosguill talk 14:19, 16 December 2024 (UTC)

I want to become a rollback user on Wikipedia because I’m passionate about maintaining the integrity and quality of Wikipedia. With rollback rights, I’d be able to efficiently revert unconstructive edits and help uphold the standards of this incredible collaborative project. My goal is to contribute positively to the community while supporting Wikipedia’s mission to provide free knowledge to the world. Vikingsam (talk) 13:42, 16 December 2024 (UTC)

Hello Vikingsam, you have never used "Undo" on a single contribution yet. Please have a look at "2." in the blue box at the top of this page. You may like to try Twinkle. Best regards, ~ ToBeFree (talk) 01:21, 17 December 2024 (UTC)

I am requesting for a Rollback right in other to help curb and prevent vandalism in English Wikipedia articles Abike25 (talk) 22:59, 17 December 2024 (UTC)

Not done You have only used rollback 4 times. Applicants generally need to have a history of patrolling Special:RecentChanges for at least a month; I looked at the other wikis that you have edits on and didn't see any use of undo there either, so am reluctant to grant this at this time. I'd recommend Twinkle for the time being. Once you have more of a track-record, feel free to re-request here or reach out to me on my talk page. --TheSandDoctor Talk 06:18, 18 December 2024 (UTC)

I monitor Special:RecentChanges and revert vandalism and having rollback rights would assist me in removing vandalism. Thank you. Cyrobyte (talk) 02:17, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
