Hello!

[edit]

Hello, Lourdes,

I was working on empty categories, saw Category:Defunct museums in Kentucky on the list and also saw that you deleted it and realized that I hadn't seen your name pop up in quite a while. I hope you are well and just busy with life. Not much else to say, just that I noticed you were back and wish you well! Liz Read! Talk! 16:32, 13 September 2021 (UTC)

Thanks Liz, all well here. Just spending my time relaxing these days. Will jump back in a few weeks. Hope you are doing well too. Love, Lourdes 10:12, 14 September 2021 (UTC)

PageCuration

[edit]

Hi, I used to patrol via PageCuration. Now the PageCuration toolbar does not appear on right side to me. Unable to Disable the page curation toolbar right at the bottom of that page as it not available. Could you have a look my settings? Thanks. --AntanO 01:40, 5 November 2021 (UTC)

Page curation script

[edit]

Hi Lourdes; I wanted to get some ideas of using your Page curation script on Urdu Wikipedia. It'd be quite helpful for the Urdu Wikipedia community, in case, if the patroller group is created on that Wiki. Regards, ─ The Aafī (talk) 17:33, 10 February 2022 (UTC)

Hi

[edit]

Glad to see you are still around, I thought we had lost you forever. I don't edit much at all these days but don't hesitate to email me if there's anything particular on your mind. Take care, Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 21:19, 20 May 2022 (UTC)

About your Page Curation script

[edit]

I had adapted your User:Lourdes/PageCuration.js into User:NotReallySoroka/review.js, and have credited you at the latter page. Thank you for your work developing the former script. NotReallySoroka (talk) 23:04, 20 June 2022 (UTC)

Hello

[edit]

Hi, Lourdes,

I saw your name in the Deletion log and realized that I hadn't run into you since back in 2021. I hope you are well and can return to editing one day. Take care. Liz Read! Talk! 05:09, 30 June 2022 (UTC)

Your G6 deletions

[edit]

Hello, Lourdes. From what I can see, you have stopped editing Wikipedia, but have continued making logged actions. This is to note that I have restored two G6s you have carried out, as they were not uncontroversial maintenance. The specific reasons I did so are outlined here and here. Attribution must be maintained when material is copied across on Wikipedia, and deletion of such redirects with non-trivial page histories defeat that goal. A redirect from a page move does not qualify under G6, unless it was obviously created in the wrong namespace (and even then I would argue that deletion would cause more harm than good). FYI: Kaleeb18 and Apaugasma. Sdrqaz (talk) 19:11, 13 July 2022 (UTC)

@Sdrqaz: I of course checked for internal links before I nominated Draft:Mohammad Ali Amir-Moezzi for G6. Now I did not know about WP:EXTERNALROT, but I'm still kind of amazed that you would think that there would be any external website linking to something like https://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Draft:Mohammad_Ali_Amir-Moezzi. I'm guessing it's more the principle that counts here, that since redirects from draft space do no cause anyone any trouble, and since deleting them may in some rare cases cause external link rot, it's better to just always leave them be? ☿ Apaugasma (talk ) 19:23, 13 July 2022 (UTC)
Apaugasma, there is consensus that draftspace redirects should not be deleted (Wikipedia:Village pump (proposals)/Archive 135 § Draft Namespace Redirects). But yes, generally speaking if a page isn't causing any harm, there's not much point in deleting it. Sdrqaz (talk) 16:02, 15 July 2022 (UTC)
Sorry, but what does a redirect from a page move qualify for then if it is not G6? ― Kaleeb18TalkCaleb 19:33, 13 July 2022 (UTC)
Kaleeb18, the part of the message about redirects from page moves was more for Apaugasma than for you. This isn't meant to be an exhaustive list, but redirects from page moves can qualify under G3 (page-move vandalism), G7 (if there was only one substantial author before the move), G8 (if the redirect becomes broken and cannot be repaired), R2 (usually for mainspace redirects to userspace or draftspace), and R3 (only if the moved page was also recently created). Sdrqaz (talk) 16:02, 15 July 2022 (UTC)
Oh ok. 16:54, 15 July 2022 (UTC) ― Kaleeb18TalkCaleb 16:54, 15 July 2022 (UTC)

Something is wrong with the PageCuration script

[edit]

Something is wrong with User:Lourdes/PageCuration.js. Whenever I'd log in it would start creating infinite number of links to Page Curation. Then I would not be able to click on anything else on that page. I had to disable it to effectively regain control of my account.VR talk 17:34, 20 August 2022 (UTC)

ok:)
