Lachlan Myers (Cricketer)

Lachlan Riley Myers (also known as Lachlan Riley Hill) was born on October 3rd 2002 in Herston, Queensland. He lived most of his life in Caboolture. He is currently a Semi-Professional Cricketer who is of Irish Descent.

Growing up his mother worked for Education Queensland and his father worked mostly in the I.T industry as well as working as an amateur cricket coach. He is the youngest child in a family of 3 brothers. The oldest brother is Kelsey Myers who is approximately 3 and a half years older and Jarrod Myers is deceased. For many years Lachlan played cricket on Kelsey's team in a much older age group which helped him to quickly develop his skills in a more difficult competition.

Lachlan attended Morayfield State High School from year 7-12. He was heavily involved in his school community. [1]

In 2019 Lachlan officially became a Semi-professional cricketer and announced that he would continue to follow his cricketing pathway despite having to face a wide range of obstacles and being pressured towards a university pathway due to his GPA of 5. At the time Lachlan had experienced several short stints in hospital over an 18 month period. He was referred to The Prince Charles Hospital cardiac unit where he was umder investigation for Wolff–Parkinson–White syndrome after several episodes of Syncope (medicine). Lachlan was also diagnosed with Depression as a 15 year old, years after he had previously been diagnosed with Anxiety disorder. Lachlan has a history of asthma which has been continuously debated among his different doctors. At 7 years old Lachlan was diagnosed with Dyspraxia, ADHD and Asperger's Syndrome. These barriers however usually seemed to have little to no effect on what happened on the field.

During his Childhood Lachlan tried playing several different sports. These included cricket, rugby league, Australian Rules football soccer, hockey, tennis, and basketball. As much as he loved sports in general, cricket was always by far his favourite.
