[edit]Life Cycle of non-polio Enterovirus:
Enterovirus first begins infecting a cell by binding to the receptors on a cell surface which results in endocytosis. Uncoating is accomplished by binding to the receptor binding to one or multiple cell surface receptors, resulting in receptor-mediated endocytosis. The viral genome is released from the capsid (uncoating) upon the virus binding to the receptor and/or sensing of pH changes. After the RNA is in the cytosol, it gets translated into a large polyprotein which has been processed by several viral proteinases. These proteinases include 2Apro, 3Cpro and 3CDpro.
