For a decade, I have been mainly active in the german sister project with 7 featured articles and 3 good articles to show for. Sadly, multiple times I had to experience xenophobia at close quarters (for instance Britons were called "those Island apes"), more than once I was insulted personally and at various times my user page was vandalised - with german administrators seemingly unwilling to do anything about it. Ridiculous.
So I had a feeling the time had come to change horses. After all, my main interest has always been British politics, 18th-20th century, so it was the logical step to do.
