Which article are you evaluating?

[edit]

(Special education in the United States)

Why you have chosen this article to evaluate?

[edit]

(I chose to evaluate this article because it is similar to what I will be doing my final project on. I am also a product of having to be in Special Education classes in the United States so I thought that it would be an interesting article to look at. I know first hand of how these programs and system work so it was a easier article to critique.)

Evaluate the article

[edit]

(After reviewing this specific article about Special Education in the United States, I will say that it is referenced appropriately as well as organized in a neat matter. This article states facts and no opinions about the special education system in the United States. This is important because if we had bias or lots of opinions in this article, then it would not be an appropriate article for review due too little to no facts being stated. This article stays on topic and does not stray off. It is relevant and up to date with all of the information provided. All of the provided links work as well as the external links. I believe that some areas in this article could be of improvement. The first improvement would be to use a different type of language. Some of the words used are juvenile and not up to the standard of writing that it could be. This type of writing is important in order to correctly get the point across. Another improvement for this article would be to list all types of disabilities. The article lists only the “known” disabilities but limits to those that may not be as common or heard of. After these things are fixed, I believe that this article could be great.)
