Kayer is an American Rapper and bilingual English/Spanish song writer, based in the Bay Area.[1][2]
Career
[edit]Kayer originally started with the artist collective Forgotten Dialect in Portland, Oregon in the 1990's.[3] His 1998 release titled “Kaera One & Dj Void” was his first solo effort and one of his earliest contributions to the Northwest Hip-Hop scene. He later joined Bay Area collective Sublevel Epidemic Records in 2003. In his more recent solo career he has worked with producers Cosiner, Vinroc of Triple Threat DJ’s and DJ Icewater. Kayer regularly collaborates with West Coast Hip-Hop artist Spoon (of Iodine) from Project Blowed/MC Aces.[4] Spoon is featured on multiple songs on Kayer's latest Underground Hip-Hop album “Rewind a Decade”. Songs such as “City Lytez” featuring Jungle Brown (Camp Lo affiliate) and "Funk Club (Strut)" featuring P.E.A.C.E. of Freestyle Fellowship also appear on the album.[5]
