Harley Davidson Eisenstein is a character in Derek Benz's and J.S. Lewis's Grey Griffins book series.Harley is also a member of the Order of the Grey Griffins, lead by Max Sumner consisting of Max and Harley, Natilia, and Ernie. Harley and the other characters of the series have been said to be stereotypical.[1][2][3]Harley is the brawns of the group. He has a grudge with the main antagonist of the first book: Ray Fisher.
Harley's Part in The Revenge of the Shadow King
[edit]In The Revenge of the Shadow King, Grayson is introduced as the main protagonist of the series and as the Guardian of the Codex[4]. The Grey Griffins play a magical card game called Round Table. During a game of Round Table, Max accidentally plays the Oberon Shadow King card, accidentally releasing him into the world[5]. On the same day, Max's grandfather in killed in a horrible accident[6]. and that night, Grayson comforts his his grandmother by eating dinner with her. After dinner, Grayson finds a magical book in his grandfather's attic and releases a spriggan who protects Max thought the series[7].Grayson learns from Sprig, that he has released Oberon's Gate into the world and that if he didn't close it it time, Oberon would be released into the world and would kill the human race with his army of fairies[8]. Grayson discovers how to use the Codex and saves the world by defeating Morgan la Fey and the minions Oberon.[9]
Harley's Part in The Rise of the Black Wolf
[edit]In The Rise of the Black Wolf, Grayson and the rest of the Grey Griffins go to Scotland for Christmas and spend their time enjoying the luxury of Lord Sumners castle. But when the castle is attacked by an ancient society named the Black Wolf Society. Then Grayson discovers that if he doesn't find the Spear of Ragnorok, his father will be killed[10]. He foolhardily collected the three pieces of the spear and brings it to Morgan la Fey's headquarters. There, Morgan steals the spear and Max discovers that his father was behind the entire scheme and then Lord Sumners put Ernie into a magical coma at the conclusion of the book.[11]
Harley's Part in the Fall of The Templar
[edit]In The Fall of the Templar Grayson discovers that the true form of the Codex is a gauntlet[12][13]. And that he can control and magical weapon fired from the gauntlet[14]. Grayson also is called before the Templar Grand Council. Before them he is tested and is pushed to the limit. He then discovers that his father is heading to the World Tree to stab the tree, gain unlimited power and kill the dragon that protects it. Grayson, the Griffins, Brooke, and the T.H.O.R. agency journey into the Underworld in search for the eye of Odin while Iver and the Templar Grand Council are bombed and the Templar outpost are destroyed around the world[15]. When Grayson finds the Eye, he confronts his father but is to late as Lord Sumner gains ultimate power. Lord Sumner begins battle with the Great Dragon save the world and kill his father, or help his father and kill the dragon. With the impossible discussion Grayson kills the dragon with the spear and Lord Sumners escapes with ultimate power and Athena escapes with the spear.[16]
