Amanda Daix
[edit]Amanda Borges Daix (born in April, 1993) is a Brazilian actress and singer, mainly know in United States, although she started her career in the United Kingdom. She is best know by her role as Clarissa DeMarco / Silver Witch in Marvel Cinematic Universe and by her several roles in American Horror Story.
Carrer
[edit]Amanda has started her career when she was seventeen years old (2010), in the seventh season of the reality show The X Factor UK. At this season, Amanda came in second, losing to Matt Cardle. In the next year, Amanda received an invitation from Ryan Murphy to participate of three episodes of American Horror Story: Murder House, but her character, Crystal Langdon (dead sister of Constance and aunt of Tate, Addie and Beau), ended up taking prominence and turning into a main character while the series was still being filmed. Later, in the same year, Amanda revealed that she will participate of Once Upon a Time, as one of the main characters: Nessie / Cheryl Roundhouse, before the curse. Amanda played Nessie for six years and in the seventh season of the series, she played Aurora / Isabelle Myers, main character in the last season. She appeared in twenty episodes on this season.
In January, 2012, was revealed that Amanda would attend her first movie, The Hunger Games, as April Trinket, a secondary character at the The Hunger Games film series. At the same year, Amanda was invited to a cameo appearance in The Avengers, as the villain Silver Witch (alter-ego by Clarissa DeMarco). At same year, Amanda came back to the second season of American Horror Story, subtitled Asylum, where she interpreted Sabine Peterson, a Briarcliff's patient. Still in that year, Amanda released her first studio album, The Climb.
In 2013, in films, Amanda came back as her characters: Clarissa DeMarco (in Iron Man 3, where the character began to turn into a heroin) and April Trinket (in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. In this movie, the character had a greater prominence than the first one). In television, Amanda has returned as Nessie for the third season of Once Upon a Time, and came back to American Horror Story third season: Coven, interpreting Ophelia Goode, a witch daughter of Fiona Goode (Jessica Lange) and sister of Cordelia Foxx (Sarah Paulson). Also in 2013, Amanda debut on the first season of Orange Is the New Black as Elena Hernández, a Latin inmate who was an ally of Red.
In 2014, Amanda has returned as Clary DeMarco in a cameo appearance at the post-credit scene of Guardians of the Galaxy and as April Trinket (now, love interest of Gale) in The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1. In June, Amanda returned to Orange Is the New Black (interpreting Elena), who became a recurring character this season, at the end of this season, Daix had her character removed from the series, not returning to the third season. In American Horror Story: Freak Show, Amanda interpret Graciela Ruiz, a princess of Spain who had three legs, in the show, Graciela was know as the Three-Legs Lady. She also has returned to Once Upon a Time and her second studio album was released.
In 2015, Amanda came back to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as Clarissa DeMarco / Silver Witch in Avengers: Age of Ultron. She has returned interpret April trinket in the last movie of the Hunger Games film series, The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2. In June, she debut as a main character of the first season of Scream, Bridgette Westwood, a reference to Tatum Riley (Rose McGowan), and enemy of Brooke Maddox (Carlson Young). In the American Horror Story anthology, she returned to the season 5 (Hotel) as a main character, Daphné Lavery, a pampered and prejudiced model who becomes embroiled in the spirit of James Patrick March (Evan Peters) and mortal enemy of Elizabeth, the Countess (Lady Gaga).
In 2016, besides releasing her third studio album, Amanda returned to interpret Clarissa DeMarco / Silver Witch in Captain America: Civil War (in Tony Stark's team). In the began of the year (January and February), Amanda started to interpret Íris McKenna Starweather, in Shadowhunters and she was a special guest in The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story, as Susan Roberts, a famous reporter, friend of Marcia Clark (Sarah Paulson). She returned to her last as Cheryl Roundhouse / Nessie in Once Upon a Time. In May, 2016, she participated of the second season of Scream to give an end for her character. In July, 2016, Amanda debut as a recurring character in the first season of Stranger Things as Meghan Bathory, Jonathan's (Charlie Heaton) colleague who helps him investigate Will's whereabouts and nurtures a passion for Steve. In American Horror Story: Roanoke, the sixth season of the horror anthology, Amanda had interpreted Angelique White, youngest daughter of Thomasin White, the Butcher (Kathy Bates and Susan Berger) who was also the wife of her brother Ambrose White (Wes Bentley and Jesse La Flair), she had appeared in only five episodes, but she was credited as a main character. In October 2, Amanda came back to the thirteenth season of The X Factor as a special judge in Simon Cowell's Judge's House.
In 2017, Amanda had returned to interpreting Clarissa DeMarco in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, now, revealing that she and Peter Quill / Star-Lord are brothers (both are children of Ego) and in Spider-Man: Homecoming, as the alias of Kendra Fields, who was spying Peter at the request of Tony Stark. In January, she came back in Shadowhunters, as Íris McKenna, with a new bow: her family relationship with Tessa Gray. In March, she interpret Maura Kassabian, a reporter who interviewed Joan Crawford before her be announced in the movie What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?, in Feud: Bette and Joan. Coming back to the horror anthology, in September, Amanda interpreted Rochelle Washington, a friend of Ally (Sarah Paulson) and Ivy (Alison Pill) who suffered from depression and social phobia. Also in September, Amanda returned to the last season of Once Upon a Time in roles of Aurora (before the curse) and Isabelle Myers (during the curse). In October, 2017 her came back to interpret Meghan Bathory to her last role of the year, in this season, Meghan being's to attract Billy's (Dacre Montgomery) passion because she is the only one who treats him well even though he's being stupid with her.
In 2018, Amanda started the year interpreting Stephanie Linton, a Gianni Versace's model in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story. In March, she returned to Shadowhunters, interpreting Íris McKenna in the first part of the last season of the show. In April 23, Amanda came back to the movie theaters, interpreting Clarissa DeMarco / Silver Witch in Avengers: Infinity War. After three years, Amanda Daix return to give life to Elena Hernández in Orange Is the New Black in the sixth season of the series, which takes place in the maximum security prison, where the character had been sent at the end of the second season. In September, Amanda had returned to the horror anthology series American Horror Story, for this season (Apocalypse), Amanda interpreted three characters: Candance Barton (a rich vlogger who is in the Outpost 3, to her own security, but, secretly, she is a witch under the effect of a spell of identity and forgetfulness), Ophelia Goode (coming back from the third season, Ophelia helped her sisters witches to fight against Michael Langdon, interpret by Cody Fern, and, when the witches are about to lose, Cordelia puts on her a spell of forgetfulness, but she's to strong so Cordelia puts on her another spell) and, for the episode Return to Murder House, she returned to interpret Crystal Langdon (who now made the peace with her sister). In October 13, she appeared on the fifteenth season of The X Factor UK as a special judge in Louis Tomlinson's Judge's House. Amanda had announced her fourth studio album for December, 2018. In December 26, Amanda had interpreted Dr. Linda Colossus, in one episode of the second season of Alexa & Katie.
In 2019, Amanda was confirmed in the season four of Lucifer and in the season three of Slasher. In January 4, Amanda debut her third role in a movie: Alex Udinov, in the cinema's adaptation of the series Nikita, the movie has the same name of the series. Still in early 2019, Amanda had debuted as a villain in the role of Morgan le Fay in The Kid Who Would Be King. In February, 2019 the Pixar studio release the The Greatest Showman's reimagined album with Amanda and other artists.
Personal life
[edit]Amanda had dated Louis Tomlinson for six months during 2017 and 2018, but the both given an end to the date because the both wanted to give more attention to their works.
In 2015, Amanda dated the Teen Wolf's star Tyler Posey and in the next year they were single again, but they are still friends.
Currently, Amanda was seen with Machine Gun Kelly, but none of them speak about a possible relationship.
