From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The South Australia cricket team played 38 Twenty20 cricket matches from the 2005/06 season to the 2011/12 season.[1] They participated in every season of the Big Bash, which was Australia's domestic Twenty20 competition during this time. They also twice qualified to play in the Champions League Twenty20 (in 2010/11 and 2011/12). The final Twenty20 match South Australia played was in the 2011 Champions League Twenty20 on 5 October 2011 against Royal Challengers Bangalore.[2] In 2011, Cricket Australia replaced the Big Bash with the Big Bash League and introduced 8 new teams, replacing South Australia with the Adelaide Strikers.[3]
