  2. ^ Greater Penang, also referred to as the George Town Conurbation, is a metropolitan region in northern-Malaysia, comprised of two cities (George Town and Seberang Perai), two municipalities (Sungai Petani and Kulim), two districts (Bandar Baharu and Kerian) and a specially administered industrial authority (Kulim Hi-Tech Industrial Park), with George Town as its metropolitan center.[5]
