(hi elena!!) Hidamari Ga Kikoeru (ひだまりが聴こえる, lit. I Hear the Sunspot) is a Japanese Shounen Ai manga series written and Illustrated by Fumino Yuki. It has been serialized in Canna since December 21, 2013, with 3 volumes released so far.
Plot
[edit]The manga follows the story between Sawaga Taiichi, a destitute college student searching for a job and Sugihara Kōhei, a boy with severely impaired hearing from the same college as Taiichi. Taiichi meets Kōhei by chance while he was searching for a job; Kōhei, upon meeting Taiichi, who seemed to be starving, offered the boy his lunch, which lead the two to become friends and soon after, Taiichi asked for a job as a note-taker to Kōhei in exchange for his lunches.
Characters
[edit]- Taiichi Sagawa (佐川 太一, Sagawa Taiichi)
- Taiichi is a college student who lives with his poor Grandfather. He searches for jobs but often gets fired due to his rash behavior towards customers, until he meets Kōhei and asks to be his note-taker.
- Kōhei Sugihara (杉原 航平, Sugihara Kōhei)
- Kōhei is a college student who often isolates himself from his peers due to being bullied in the past for his impaired hearing. He does not have many friends until he meets Taiichi, who pursues him by becoming his note-taker and soon, a close friend. He lives with his Mother who owns a cooking school (Sugihara Cooking School). Later in the series, Kōhei develops romantic feelings towards Taiichi.
Live Action Film
[edit]A live action film to premiere in early summer 2017 has been announced by Printemps Shuppan's Canna magazine. The film will feature Hideya Tawada as Kōhei Sugihara and Akira Onodera as Taiichi Sagawa.
