Yaapu (யாப்பு) - is a server-side scripting language in the Tamil language. The primary aspiration is to provide an environment for the native Tamil language speakers to design and develop the server side pages. Yaapu is designed with the help of PHP. Yaapu will act as a Tamil language version of PHP scripting language. Yaapu will allow the programmers to code server-side pages in Tamil. Many PHP built-in functions are also available in Yaapu. The motivation behind this is to create a programming language for beginners. Once they know to think in these logical modes then writing any program is an aggregation of ideas in some order. Yaapu also utilizes the functionality of Quine computing. Yaapu can translate to both PHP and Perl scripts, so learning one universal Tamil Yaapu script helps us to understand the feature and functionality both the language. Since it can generate both types of code format, it helps us to create a code base with ease. Also since it creates code in English format, it will be easy for the native Tamil speakers to learn the equivalent English format in ease. Since Yaapu serves as an intermediate representation for both PHP and Perl language, one need not learn the syntax for both programming language separately.
