Dota 2

[edit]

Arteezy first rose to fame in November 2013, when he took place in MLG's Fall Championship in Columbus, Ohio as a stand-in for the team then-Speed Gaming, now- Cloud9. Arteezy defeated the best Dota 2 players in the world, including Dendi, while taking first place in the tournament with his team.[3]

With Evil Geniuses

[edit]

In January 2013, Arteezy created team S A D B O Y S with players ppd, zai, UNiVeRsE, and Fear. S A D B O Y S performed extremely well, which led to it being acquired by Evil Geniuses, an American organization. Evil Geniuses dominated the American Dota 2 scene and established themselves as one of the best teams in the world, making them one of the favorites to win The International 2014.

At The International 2014, Evil Geniuses placed 2nd in the group stage with a record of eleven wins four losses. Evil Geniuses would lose to NewBee in the upper bracket, and would be later knocked out of the tournament in a heartbreaking loss against ViCi Gaming, finishing third place and winning $1,037,778 [4].

With Team Secret

[edit]

After Evil Geniuses' disappointing finish in The International 2014, Arteezy and zai transferred to Team Secret, joining veterans Puppey, KuroKy, and s4. After this roster change, Team Secret began to dominate the scene, winning four LAN competitions in a row: Red Bull Battlegrounds, The Summit 3, MarsTV Dota 2 League, and ESL One Frankfurt 2015. Team Secret was directly invited to The International 2015 and is the favorite to claim victory.[5]
