Avasarala Rama Rao (Telugu: అవసరాల రామారావు గారు) (1889 - 1976) was a Politician in India.
Early Life
[edit]Avasarala Rama Rao was born in Palivela, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh, India. Rama Rao's father (Rangarao) died when he was very young, and his mother (Setammagaru) brought him up.
Later/Mid Life
[edit]In 1913, Rama Rao graduated from Madras Law College with a degree of Law. Then, he started a law practice in Peddapuram. Then, after three years, the location of the practice was shifted to Rajamundry. He then served as the Public Prosecutor and Government Pleader of the East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh from 1926 to 1935. Between 1923 and 1953 he was also the Scout Commissioner for the East Godavari District and he attended the All World Scout Conference that was held in Australia in 1951.
He became the President to the Andhra Historical Association and brought light to many historical incidents.
Political Life
[edit]On recognising his service to the public in 1935, the British Government honoured him with the title Rao Bahadur. In 1949
A. Rama Rao was the President of the Bharatiya Jana Sangh (BJS) in 1961.
