Fidibo is an electronic book store which was established in February 2014. Fidibo is a cross-platform system to produce and distribute ebooks, following copyright laws. In 2016, Digikala purchased Fidibo.
Ebook reader software
[edit]Fidibo's ebook reader software enables users to download, classify and read ebooks. Books have a free sample including a few pages of the book. The complete book is generally not free though. Users are capable to bookmark, change screen color, change the font and search books in this software. This software is a cross-platform software and can be used in smartphones, tablets, PCs and with Android, iOS and Windows operating systems. Books are published in two text formats (pdf and epub) and audiobook (mp3).
Fidibox
[edit]Fidibox is a smart device, which provides Location-based service to users. Each device has its own special one-time QR code which changes application's environment when is scanned by a smartphone. This enables users to have access to have access to services based on their location and for a defined time interval. This service started working in Tehran's Metro at February 4th, 2018 named "A library as big as a city" project. Using this service, users are allowed to have access to ebooks for free for an hour.
Fidibook
[edit]Fidibook is the first Persian ebook reader. It was officially introduced at April 28th, 2018 in Book city organization in Tehran. Model F1 Hannah of Fidibook, has a 6 inches screen with 8 Gigabytes of internal memory and 512 Megabytes of RAM. Fidibook is connected to Fidibo's store which includes 25000 ebooks, podcasts and audio books. In addition, Fidibook let's users import pdf and epub files using the internal memory or directly downloading them on the device via Wifi.
Price
[edit]Ebooks generally have 30 to 50 percent discount in comparison the the paper copy of the books. The prices are decided by the publishers though Fidibo consults them.

RASAD system
[edit]In 2014, "no to illegal download of books" campaign was established aiming to help establish the culture of respecting copyright. This campaign continued its work with the slogan "I am not a book thief" and writers and publishers can report websites which upload illegal pdf files of books. Also, interviews with celebrities including Mahmoud Dowlatabadi, Mahdi Ghabrai, Takin Hamzehloo, Ehsan Shariati, Pooria Alami and Abbas Mokhber recorded interviews for this campaign.
