Greenwood Memorial Park and Mortuary is located in San Diego, California. This cemetery was started in 1907 and is over one hundred years old. Greenwood is the largest cemetery in San Diego County at 125 acres. It is located about five miles east of downtown San Diego at 4300 Imperial Avenue.
Notable mentions: Ulysses Simpson Grant, Jr. is buried at Greenwood, son of our 18th president, and original owner of the U.S.Grant Hotel in San Diego. Another is C. Arnholt Smith, the original owner of the San Diego Padres baseball team, bringing it into the National League as an expansion team in 1969.
