Just like Schumann with his two alter egos, Florestine the extrovert and Eusebius the introvert, here on Wikipedia I go by my extroverted alter ego, Sav, short for Savannah. Having studied music performance and musicology up to Masters level, my main interests lie in the lives, music and history of female composers and musicians. The musical world has long-time been dominated by male forces, and women have more often than not been pushed to the sidelines. It is not that female composers and musicians did not exist, they did, but their stories have been neglected. My goal is to bring more information to the fore, focussing on women in music.
