Shankha Shubhro Shome (born 8th July, 1990), holds a Bachelors degree with Majors in Electrical Engineering and is currently working as a Associate Software Engineer at Accenture. When he's not at office, he can be found playing the guitar, writing poetry, listening to Pink Floyd, reading or planning for a trek. He loves travelling and lately he has taken some interest in trekking. He presently lives in Bangalore.

Childhood

Shankha Shubhro Shome was born in Naihati and he had his schooling from the Springdale High School, Kalyani. As a child he had interest in computers and was in love with them when his father got him one when he turned 9. As a child, he also had an avid interest in quizzing and participated in one and all quiz contests he came to know of. He was also chosen to represent his school at various state and district level quiz contests. He also loved playing Badminton.

Professional Life

Shankha Shubhro Shome finished his majors in Electrical Engineering from the Meghnad Saha Institute Of Technology, Kolkata under the West Bengal University Of Technology. He was placed in Accenture through a campus interview conducted in his college.

Travelling and Trekking

As mentioned earlier, Shankha loves to travel and he considers himself lucky that he was born in the country of India which has everything from mountains to seas to rivers to islands. Shankha has already travelled to many places in North,South and West India and wishes to cover Northeast India in the days to come. He has already covered Amritsar, Wagah, Jallianwala Bagh in Punjab, Nainital, Dehradun, Mussoorie, Ranikhet, Almora in Uttarakhand, Agra, Lucknow, Fatehpur Sikri in Uttar Pradesh in North India. He has also travelled to Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Amer in Rajasthan to Northwestern India. He had an awesome trekking trip in the final year of his college in Sikkim, which his facebook page describes as 'A trek-trip worth remembering' . It consisted of trekking to Barsey from Hilley through Okhrey and also to Dentam and then Hitchhiking to Pelling. Besides, he has also been to Gangtok which is the present capital of the state of Sikkim. After he relocated to Bangalore for his job at Accenture, he has visited Ooty in Tamil Nadu, Coorg, Madikeri, Chikmagalur in Karnataka and also to Wayanad district,Kozhikode district in the state of Kerala.
