Earvin N'Gapeth (born 12 February 1991) is a French volleyball player, a member of France men's national volleyball team and Italian club Azimut Modena, 2015 European Champion, a gold medalist of the 2015 World League, French Champion (2010), Italian Champion (2016).

Personal life

His father Éric, who hails from Cameroon, is a former volleyball player that represented France in the 1980s.

In December 2014, he was sentenced to three months suspended imprisonment by the Criminal Court of Montpellier for a fight in a nightclub in the city a few months earlier. In July 2015, he was arrested and heard in open hearing by the police following the assault of a TGV train controller Paris-Montparnasse train station.[1]

In season 2008-09 he debuts into professional volleyball, hired by Tours VB, where he stays for three seasons and winner Pro A League.[2] In season 2011-12 he is hired in the Italian team of Cuneo Piemonte in Serie A1 League, where he stays for two seasons. He advances the team to the final of CEV Europe League. Ngapeth next year moves to Kuzbass Kemerovo russian club played in Super League and at half season he abandons the team and returns to Italy, wearing the shirt of Modena for played in Serie A1 and winning 2014-15 Italian Cup.[3] Ngapeth in season 2015-16 with Modena wins Italian Championship, rewarded also as MVP, Italian Cup and Italian Supercup. In season 2015-16 he wins his second Italian Supercup. Ngapeth in during this time he became a star team.[4]

National

On October 7, 2010 he was expelled from the national team on disciplinary grounds during World Championship held in Italy.[5] He came back to national team at European Championship 2011. In 2014 played at World Championship 2014 held in Poland.[6] France lost the match for the bronze medal with Germany and took 4th place.[7] He was one of the key players in the 2015 World League championship campaign. On October 18, 2015 French national team, including N'Gapeth, achieved title of the European Champion 2015 (3–0 with Slovenia in the finale).[8]
