Single With Kids was founded up in 2007 in the UK to provide a community network for single parent families, often for whom social isolation is a major problem after divorce. Founded by single parents for single parents the organisation focused on building mutual support through events and get-togethers, with an active online community for help and advice. It was developed as one of the few, and remains one of the leading UK tour operators offering holidays exclusively for single parent families.

Background
[edit]The headquarters are based in Reddish, Stockport although the company has national as well as growing international coverage. Independently owned and operated, the organisation joined the Cooperative Travel Freedom Consortium in 2010.

[edit]26% of households with dependent children in the UK are single parent families, with 2 million single parents in Britain today.[1] The media age of single parents is 38.1.* There are a number of charities who focus on providing financial and legal advice and support for single parent families (Gingerbread being the largest). Single With Kids seeks to fill the gap on the isolation factor for single parents, with events and holidays organised to bring groups together, with the focus on fun and friendship. The groups vary from local get togethers (operated on a community basis), through to single parent holidays overseas.
