Sam Smith

Sam Smith (born September 9, 1990) better known as Sliňk as his stage name, is an English DJ/Music Producer, based in Warrington his tracks have been included in alot of radio shows around the EU, one of his new remixes of "King Of The Night" which was originally done by JJoy was played by Judge Jules on Radio 1.

Career

Smith started out in 2002, he was a drummer in his bedroom, he was a big fan of Red Hot Chili Peppers he used to play along to CD's, live shows etc, after a few years, he had moved to Malta which then he later on joined a local band known as "Unleashed" he was with them for a few years, then later on split, due to studio problems.

In 2005 Sam was into trance music at the time which grew on him, he always wondered about the whole DJ scene, he downloaded a DJ mixing program onto his computer, and started to mix tracks together, and started to get into it, not long after he started sending his mixes into the local radio station, which was played on a DJ guest mix, after that had occurred, he then realised that he had a talent.

A couple of months past and he had downloaded a DAW which is a music production program, which he tried and had then progressed into music production. In 2009 he released his first ever EP on a record label known as Gee Records which included some of his tracks "Alone With You", "Fun With Charlie", and "In Out", which was released on Beatport.

Over the years the rise to success was building, he met up with John Refalo known as JJoy, who signed Slink onto his promo company Rype Promo which got him events around Malta, Gozo and Cyprus.

In 2011 he had made a track called "Music Is The Answer", with female singer Chiara Siracusa, which was played all around Malta, and also sent into Radio One in UK.
