Telonium Communications is a privately-held, Voice of IP (VoIP) hosted PBX service provider, based in Atlanta, GA. The company was launched in 2010 by two Georgia Tech alumni as an answer to poor business telephony options available in many offices throughout the Atlanta area. The name is a combination of "Telo" for telephone and "onium" to signify it's elemental and simple product offering. The company's primary service offering is a T1-replacement option, allowing users of traditional t-carriers to take advantage of high-bandwidth data connections (such as Cable Internet access) while also reducing the overall cost of phone service.
As of March, 2011, the company provides voice service to hundreds of users in the Atlanta area alone, in addition to also providing PSTN network access (via SIP trunks) to dozens more throughout the United States.
