Products
[edit]LEWITT microphones are recognizable by their distinguished shape and design, created by the CEO Roman Perschon himself[1]. Most of the microphones of the LCT series are equipped with in-house produced capsules to achieve their modern and unique sound, and also to be able to implement features like the “dual-output” system of the LCT 640 TS (TS for Twin System), that allows to capture the front and the back of the dual diaphragm on separate channels[2]. The LEWITT range includes dynamic, condenser, stereo, and tube microphones. All of them feature zinc die cast bodies and promise consistent polar patterns, efficient off-axis rejection, and authentic reproduction of sound sources.
LCT Series
[edit]The LCT Recording Series features condenser microphones exclusively, ranging from back-electret to large diaphragm studio microphones. The LCT 550 claims to produce 0 dB (A) self-noise coming from electronics[3], making it the world's first (consumer) microphone achieving such a low value. With the LCT 640 TS one is able to record the front and back of the diaphragm on separate channels. This allows to create any polar pattern at any given time, even after the recording is already finished. The LCT 940 unifies two separate circuits, tube and FET, in one microphone, allowing to blend two sound characteristics together at any ratio[4].
MTP Series
[edit]The MTP Live Series features condenser and dynamic microphones for vocals and instruments. Their handheld microphones feature fully rubber-mounted capsules, high gain before feedback and low handling noise. All of them are considered very rugged[5] due to their zinc die cast housings. The top-of-the-line model , the MTP 940 CM, was introduced in January 2013 at NAMM and is basically a multi-pattern 1" true condenser microphone in a handheld housing, that even features different pre-attenuation and low-cut settings.[6]
DTP Series
[edit]The DTP Percussion Series features microphones to capture drums and percussion instruments. Their drum microphone kits are shipped in a protective military-case and also include microphones from the MTP and the LCT Series.
DGT Series
[edit]The DGT microphones are USB and iOS microphones. The highly-acclaimed DGT 650[7], is a stereo microphone with a built-in audio interface, and is compatible with Windows, MAC, and iOS devices. The breakout box features a 6.3 mm hi-z instrument input, MIDI in, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. You can record at a maximum of 24 bit / 96 kHz in Windows, MAC, and on iOS devices.
Other microphones
[edit]Lewitt recently added a broadcast microphone to their range called the INTERVIEWER.
