Pluto TV is a Los Angeles-based over the top television service supported by advertising which does not charge for its content. The service offers more than 100 channels of content. The programming sources include Hulu, Shout! Factory, Jukin Media, Multicom,[1] AOL, Endemol, and 4K broadcasts of Devin SuperTramp, Around the World in 4K and Amazing Places on Our Planet. Channels have content that includes Late Night Catch-Up, shows from the 1970s, 1980s or 1990s,[2] Mystery Science Theater 3000, FailArmy, Star Trek, Joss Whedon, news, sports such as kickboxing and soccer, independent films, anime, and musicians such as Katy Perry and Justin Bieber. Viewing is possible on Web browsers, iOS, Chromecast, Fire TV and Nexus Player and other Android TV devices.[1]
Started in 2013,[2] the company received $13 million in funding in November 2014. As of July 2015, Pluto TV claimed "millions" of monthly views.[1]
