[edit]- I Want You (Bob Dylan song)
Also covered by Cher (1966), Sophie B. Hawkins (1992), James Blunt (2005), and other artists.
- I Want You (Cheap Trick song)
Don't be confused with "I Want You to Want Me" by same artist.
- I Want You (She's So Heavy)
Written by John Lennon (credited to Lennon–McCartney), the song is an unusual Beatles composition for a variety of reasons, namely its length (nearly eight minutes), few lyrics (the title makes up most of the lyrics, aside from two more phrases; only 14 different words are sung), a three-minute descent through repeated guitar chords, and abrupt ending. It is one of the last songs that The Beatles mixed as a group, on 20 August 1969. The song is a birth of doom metal before Black Sabbath from their debut album Black Sabbath in 1970. The term "heavy metal" previously using on Steppenwolf's song "Born to Be Wild" from their album Steppenwolf in 1968.
- I Want You to Want Me
Originally from the album In Color, the band later re-recorded the song live from the album Cheap Trick at Budokan in 1979. This version is faster than original album version. Also covered by Lindsay Lohan (2005), Chris Isaak (2006), and other artists. Don't be confused with "I Want You" (Cheap Trick song).
- In My Dreams (REO Speedwagon song)
Inspirational lyrics with arena rock sound.
- Is This Love (Whitesnake song)
The song was written by David Coverdale and John Sykes during the albums early writing process, but it was rumoured that the song had originally been written for Tina Turner.

- Since U Been Gone
This is a counterculture. Because originally recorded by pop star, the song later covered by rock artists such as American pop punk band A Day to Remember, indie rocker Ted Leo, and Canadian indie rock band Tokyo Police Club. The song also used in Brazilian soap opera Malhação. A rock magazine Rolling Stone ranked it at number 482 of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time in 2010. Martin originally wrote "Since U Been Gone" with Alecia Moore (best known as P!nk) in mind but she turned it down. It was then given to Hilary Duff but she rejected the song because she could not reach its higher notes. The song was finally given to Clarkson after Clive Davis convinced the writers to give it to her. Clarkson decided to add heavier guitars and harder drums to the song after noticing that the demo had an obvious pop sound. Lyrically, the song is written from a woman's point of view where she expresses her sense of relief with the end of her troubled relationship. Don't be confused with Since You've Been Gone (disambiguation), any songs with this title are non notable.
- Since You Been Gone
Rainbow version of the song was sung by former The Marbles vocalist Graham Bonnet. Originally written by former Argent guitarist Russ Ballard, who also wrote for songs by other artists such as America, Kiss, Ricki-Lee Coulter, and Roger Daltrey of The Who. Don't be confused with Since You've Been Gone (disambiguation) and "Since U Been Gone", a song by Kelly Clarkson.
