"Notable people"
[edit]Hi, I just thought you should know that I have reverted your edits. The "notable people" section for articles about towns and such refers to people who have Wikipedia articles written about them. You may also want to read the notability guidelines for people before continuing. TornadoLGS (talk) 22:45, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
- Hello! Sorry for this mistake. I know these individuals are just notable and impactful in their hometowns and thought it would be helpful for people to be able to see that and be linked to helpful citations on the Wikipedia articles. However, I understand if this is against the guidelines and appreciate your help and support! 130.184.252.28 (talk) 22:50, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
- No worries. I've run into this before, since local notability might not translate to notability by Wikipedia's standards. The main standard for notability in Wikipedia is that the person (or other subject) has significant coverage by third-party sources. TornadoLGS (talk) 22:56, 14 November 2022 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
