Welcome!
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions so far. I hope you like the place and decide to stay.
Here are some links to pages you may find useful:
- Contributing to Wikipedia
- Tutorial
- How to edit a page and How to develop articles
- Simplified Manual of Style
You don't have to log in to read or edit articles on Wikipedia, but if you wish to acquire additional privileges, you can simply create a named account. It's free, requires no personal information, and lets you:
- Create new pages and rename pages
- Edit semi-protected pages
- Upload images
- Have your own watchlist, which shows when articles you are interested in have changed
Note that in order for the first three features to be available, you must have had an account for a certain number of days and made a certain number of edits.
If you edit without using a named account, your IP address (24.20.241.178) is used to identify you instead.
I hope that you, as a Wikipedian, decide to continue contributing to our project: an encyclopedia of human knowledge that anyone can edit. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, or you can to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. We also have an intuitive guide on editing if you're interested. By the way, please make sure to sign and date your talk page comments with four tildes (~~~~).

[edit]Please do not add original research or novel syntheses of published material to articles as you apparently did to Energy returned on energy invested. Please cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Garzfoth (talk) 06:03, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
- If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Life-cycle greenhouse-gas emissions of energy sources. Your edits could be interpreted as vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Also see MOS:QUOTE. Garzfoth (talk) 06:11, 15 January 2019 (UTC)

Why.... pumped hydro
[edit]In your attempted edit, you said a certain paper includes pumped hydro for some technologies and not for others. If that's true, you may have a point that our article needs to find a way to say this. To be clear, I'm neither agreeing nor disagreeing with you. I'm just intersted in why you say what you say, and we can go from there. Before I guess at which source you're talking about, could you please clarify and post a link? Either here or at the article talk page would be great, thanks. NewsAndEventsGuy (talk) 09:18, 15 January 2019 (UTC)
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
