Where's the source?

[edit]

Where are/is the source(s) of the 'rumor' of Kick paying streamers? Songda Talas 05:42, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The hourly rate isn't $16 for everybody. The rate will vary depending on size, audience, engagement and many other factors. This is a future benefit to the site, but no specific details are listed as of yet. 49.183.14.240 (talk) 05:43, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Do you have a link to a site to support this? Songda Talas 05:45, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Not exactly, it has just become a realisation to many people. If you search up if the Kick $16 hourly rate is false. You will see that there will be numerous amounts of people saying so. There are also videos proving this fact as well. 49.183.14.240 (talk) 05:48, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I couldn't find anything proving false except for this post on Reddit. In fact, I've found more sources on Kick paying streamers $16. Songda Talas 05:53, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

YouTube and Reddit are not reliable. Songda Talas 06:00, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Neither is anything on the internet. So it's pretty much contradictory for everything. Although I know for absolute certainty that the $16 hourly rate has been misinterpreted. 49.183.14.240 (talk) 06:02, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but you can look on the websites that are reliable from the list. Songda Talas 06:04, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
From the list: "Most videos on YouTube are anonymous, self-published, and unverifiable, and should not be used at all. Content uploaded from a verified official account, such as that of a news organization, may be treated as originating from the uploader and therefore inheriting their level of reliability. However, many YouTube videos from unofficial accounts are copyright violations and should not be linked from Wikipedia, according to WP:COPYLINK. See also WP:YOUTUBE and WP:VIDEOLINK.
Reddit is a social news and discussion website. Reddit contains mostly user-generated content, and is considered both self-published and generally unreliable. Interview responses written by verified interviewees on the r/IAmA subreddit are primary sources, and editors disagree on their reliability. The policy on the use of sources about themselves applies." Songda Talas 06:05, 16 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
