Information icon Hello, I'm BilCat. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Chip Caray, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! BilCat (talk) 19:58, 20 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Information icon Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Chip Caray. Thank you. BilCat (talk) 22:04, 21 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You need to stop this, these are irrelevant notices.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.153.172.250 (talk)

  • You, or whoever is using this IP, need to stop adding unsourced information to biography articles. If you don't, you'll keep getting notices, and you'll eventually be blocked. BilCat (talk) 22:55, 22 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

How can I report this issue to a higher up than whoever you are? There have been sources added on almost every single edit made but you still are reverting them. The edits are true and factual and are cited but you continue to revert them. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.153.172.250 (talk)

You need to cite reliable published sources like newspapers or sports magazines. Most of the sites you've cited so far are just click-bait type sites that have no editorial oversight, and aren't considered reliable by Wikipedia. I spent over an hour last week searching for reliable sources that mention his high school, and I couldn't find any. I've also posted a note at WT:BASEBALL#Chip Caray's high school, but so far haven't received any responses. I've left the most recent source you added to the article, as it is of better quality than the others, but I tagged it as unreliable. We'll see what happens.
