[edit]We are an encyclopaedia, not a fan site or sports almanac. I agree that events like winning the Belgian Cup or his first international goal are notable - but weekly match reports are not needed. GiantSnowman 07:35, 18 July 2021 (UTC)
- @GiantSnowman: I agree, but scoring your first goal for a club is also notable enough to include in the article, which was info you deleted. 71.208.16.208 (talk) 20:06, 18 July 2021 (UTC)
- If you agree then why did you re-add all the run-of-the-mill game reports? Yes, first goal for a club can be OK if properly sourced, rather than just (again) match report after match report. GiantSnowman 20:41, 18 July 2021 (UTC)
- @GiantSnowman: Those weren't "run-of-the-mill game reports". They were all matches he scored in, all which are notable since his team won. I wasn't excessive in my edit, and you don't have to tell me that this is an encyclopedia and not a sports almanac. 71.208.16.208 (talk) 15:34, 19 July 2021 (UTC)
- No, they are not notable. Can you imagine what (e.g.) Lionel Messi's article would look like if we added every game he scored in?! Nonsense. And if you can't see that then I clearly do need to repeat that this is an encyclopedia and not a sports almanac. GiantSnowman 16:08, 19 July 2021 (UTC)
- @GiantSnowman: Hyland doesn't score a lot so maybe that's why it seems like I added "every goal he scored". I might have added goals that weren't important, but you also removed a lot that matter. His first goal for Zulte, Genk and Westerlo are all important, which are goals you removed. You also removed a game where he scored and assisted against Brugge in February 2013, which is obviously notable enough to be included. However, I agree that getting carded and scoring in games where his team lost are not important, and the same goes with an assist I added. 71.208.16.208 (talk) 07:54, 22 August 2021 (UTC)
