- FBS teams with zero or one FCS opponent on their schedule can become bowl-eligible with six wins, but if an FBS team has two FCS opponents on their schedule, then they need seven wins to become bowl-eligible. Yes, Florida is 6-0 right now, but two of those wins were over UT Martin and Towson, both FCS teams...upon their next victory, they will be bowl-eligible.
- Also, teams with zero or one FCS opponent on their schedule don't become bowl-ineligible until they've lost seven games in a season...New Mexico State is 0-6, and the only FCS opponent on their schedule is Incarnate Word. Therefore, with NM State's next loss, they will become bowl-ineligible.
Hope that clears things up. Tom Danson (talk) 18:58, 6 October 2019 (UTC)
