The category being added must already exist, and must be supported by the article's verifiable content. Categories may be removed if they are deemed incorrect for the subject matter. Thank you. Non-existent categories
[edit]Before adding a category to an article, as you did to Category:Atlantic Revolutions, please make sure that the category page actually exists. In some cases, it may be appropriate to create a new category in accordance with Wikipedia's categorization guidelines, but it is usually better to use the most specific available existing category. It is never appropriate to leave a page categorised in a non-existent category, i.e. one whose link displays in red. You may find it helpful to use the gadget HotCat, which tests whether a category exists before saving a change. Thank you. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 00:20, 31 March 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Mauser C96, you may be blocked from editing. Do not add new categories to an article, unless what the category says has been verified in the article. Loafiewa (talk) 19:05, 3 June 2021 (UTC)

Please do not add or change content, as you did at Type 26 revolver, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Loafiewa (talk) 23:51, 18 July 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at The Monkey's Paw, you may be blocked from editing. This IP has been warned in the past about making edits to categories unsupported by an article's content. It's disappointing to see it doing so again. DonIago (talk) 20:28, 28 December 2021 (UTC)

The number of masts
[edit]The HMS Endeavor. Hi, one can see that there are 3 masts on this ship. I was thinking, if it were posible, or if there is the necessity to include in the description section just below the beginning of this article the number of Masts a ship like this has. I should think that has some importance.
Thank you for your entries. I have always donated to Wikipedia since first they asked. No need to reply to this note. I'll just accept what is there. But maybe see that, too. 2600:1012:B165:843B:0:4B:7B41:201 (talk) 08:43, 13 April 2022 (UTC)

This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
