[edit]Hello, I'm Ifnord. Your recent edit(s) to the page Jeremy Farrar appear to have added incorrect information, so they have been reverted for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. A bold claim requires a solid reference. Ifnord (talk) 14:41, 18 December 2021 (UTC)
Hello, I'm Isabelle Belato. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Azra Ghani, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Isabelle 🔔 14:45, 22 December 2021 (UTC)
Please stop adding unreferenced or poorly referenced biographical content, especially if controversial, to articles or any other Wikipedia page. Content of this nature could be regarded as defamatory and is in violation of Wikipedia policy. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Hipal (talk) 17:37, 22 December 2021 (UTC)
Note: the source you offered here [1] does not mention Azra Ghani. It mentions SAGE (which I assume refers to the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies), and the Wiki article on SAGE does not mention Ghani either. I'm not sure that any of that matters, because according to the credit at the end of the page, the article was "written by Steerpike - Steerpike is The Spectator's gossip columnist, serving up the latest tittle tattle from Westminster and beyond." Please stop making those edits unless you can come up with something better to bolster your case. And read also the Wikipedia notes on synthesis, i.e. taking two different sources and mixing them together to draw your own conclusions. signed, Willondon (talk) 17:54, 22 December 2021 (UTC)
Help with references
[edit]Thanks for your message. If you work from reliable, independent sources, you shouldn't go far wrong. WP:RSP and WP:RSN are helpful in determining if a source is reliable. Biographical information for living persons have much higher standards on the quality of references, enforced by strict behavior policies. --Hipal (talk) 18:40, 22 December 2021 (UTC)
