Hi IP. I've reverted you at Anat as you introduced multiple reference errors into the article, as well as reverting errors that had been previously fixed. I suggest you read the documentation for {{sfn}} templates, as there are not just for free text. Not are they an alternative byo providing a full cite. You will need to provide a full cite (for instance {{cite book}} for every work you reference, and only then can use {{sfn}} to link to them. If you have any questions please ask. -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested transmissions °co-ords° 21:41, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Edit warring

[edit]

Hi IP. I'm unconcerned about any content issue at Anat, but should warn you that you wlappear to be in an edit war. Wikipedia has policies against continually reverting, please read WP:3RR. I suggest also reading WP:BRD, the jist of which is that if someone reverts you start a discussion on the article's talk page about it rather than reverting them. -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested transmissions °co-ords° 21:50, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I did not revert. No one is in an edit war, ask the previous user who keeps reverting or fixing typos. Thank you.

You are as per Wikipedia policies. Being right or wrong, or anything else is not an excuse. I suggest you do the reading, specifically of the link I suggested above. -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested transmissions °co-ords° 21:59, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

And I suggest you start monitoring users who disrupt the platform.

[edit]

HaniwaEnthusiast goes around broadcasting a monopoly over information, he’s in almost every Mesopotamian god page and removes every single add-on from any user (not just me) because if it doesn’t come from him, it needs to be discredited and called disruptive, even if backed up by sources. I’m not good at citing books I admit that and I will learn to make full quotations because I’m new to Wikipedia and I only know how to use [1] or <ref>, nothing else, so I will learn. But why don’t you try to limit or monitor movements and activities of users, maybe even Registered ones if you can, who abuse the platform and discredit others, then you can talk to me about right or wrong. Cordially and thank you for your time. 93.36.40.77 (talk) 22:07, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you have an issue with HaniwaEnthusiast start a discussion with him, this is a collaborative project trying to force a change will never work. If you can't come to an understanding or compromise Wikipedia has many ways you can go for help. As to why I'm here I'm try to fix the type of errors you are introducing, after many months I'm at 'Bil-' so anytime you create a new one at Anat it's very noticeable. I've discussed these types of error today with HaniwaEnthusiast, as he had produced some. I have no interest in the subject matter itself, not how or what is changed in the articles. I can only suggest you try to work out any difference by communicating with other editors and not reverting. Being a new editor can be overwhelming as everything on Wikipedia has to be done certain ways, but if you stick it out and learn how it's done it can be very rewarding. -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested transmissions °co-ords° 22:14, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
As some advice stick to <ref> tags until you completely work out how cites work. WP:REFB has some very useful walk througs on how to create proper refs, I found it very useful when I started. -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested transmissions °co-ords° 22:16, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@ActivelyDisinterested @93.36.40.77 I am a woman. Please use she/her, thanks.
Also, 93.36.40.77 (and assorted other IPs), your edits are being "discredited" because you use outdated sources from a century ago or twist what they actually say to support your ridiculous idea that every god is Ninurta and every goddess is his wife and/or Ishtar. HaniwaEnthusiast (talk) 06:53, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I suggest the two of you take this to the talk page, where other editors can have input. I won't put forward any opinion myself, as I don't no the topic.
Please note that "they" as a term for an unknown singular individual has been a normal part of the dialect of English I speak for at least forty years, but I will of course use she/her now you have prompted. No offence was intended. -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested transmissions °co-ords° 09:52, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I don’t understand what typing errors I’m introducing. The ones introduced are done by HaniwaEnthusiast because he wrote the page, I only provided a few lines of text.

[edit]

There’s another user called Arjayay who fixes typos and Adjacent2Wolves who reverted the page, I did not such thing, so I have no idea what you mean with me creating errors. 93.36.40.77 (talk) 22:21, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You're creating them because you need to learn how {{sfn}} templates are meant to work. As I said I suggest reading WP:REFB it will start you on how referencing is meant to work. -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested transmissions °co-ords° 22:26, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Ok then. I apologize if I created any errors and wasted your time.

👍 93.36.40.77 (talk) 22:27, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You can also just reply to my comments rather than starting another section every time. If you have any questions on how referencing is meant to work, just leave a message on my talk page. -- LCU ActivelyDisinterested transmissions °co-ords° 22:29, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This is the last section I start. How do I reply to your comments?

Just to know. 93.36.40.77 (talk) 22:31, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. The thread is Troublesome IP editors in articles about Mesopotamian deities. Thank you. –LaundryPizza03 (d) 01:18, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
