Maeser Building GPS Coordinates

I am a BYU employee in charge of accuracy of all map data on campus. I corrected the data for the Maeser Building because it is pointing at the Spencer W Kimball Tower and we have received at least ten calls and emails about incorrect data. Please revert my change. If you are still unsure and believe my edit to have been for practice or for some other cause, please call my boss Brent Harker of BYU University Communications at (801) 422-7323.

Hi, The article is not owned by you nor your boss. I am not trying to be rude but letting you know that you need to properly make the edits and not mess the page.  A m i t  웃   00:00, 17 December 2014 (UTC)

Blood Soaked Dove Edit

The school mascot is not named after the state bird the cardinal it is in fact named after a blood soaked dove https://factchecked.wordpress.com/2008/07/15/illinois-state-university-blood-soaked-doves/ If you lived in Illinois around that time you would know this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.100.80.2 (talk) 16:54, 17 December 2014 (UTC)

Stop Reverting My Edits

You keep reverting my edits and as you likely do not attend my school i do not expect you to know who "Ace Dollasz" is. But i find your actions rude and i would like you to stop.

Unless you can justify the persons notability, I would suggest you wait for an admins action for the SPD  A m i t  웃   23:00, 21 January 2015 (UTC)
I also have posted a warning to stop using the wikipedia for self promotion(as looking at your contribution history that is the only thing you have done in all your edits). If you don't have anything productive to provide to Wikipedia i guess you dont have a place here.  A m i t  웃   23:40, 21 January 2015 (UTC)

Are you an English linguist of any kind?

To make my next edition I will be ignoring your reversion, because it looks like you used a machine to do it, and that does not inspire my confidence in whether you know what you are talking about, or even that you do not habitually discard contributions from numbers, which is ignorant. 70.74.164.9 (talk) 17:40, 23 January 2015 (UTC)

I am not an English linguist, but have seen enough wikipedia pages, and I don't expect that you provide an example without putting it in context. If your edition makes an article worse, then don't expect me to stand still and watch you show your English prowess, as I would be reverting it without fail. A m i t  웃   17:46, 23 January 2015 (UTC)
I wrote no examples. I wrote a comparison. "English" is a proper noun, so it is capitalized. Most of what I am getting out of your text is a willingness to edit war, even if I am correct. My English prowess gives you no reason to revert. "Edit" is a verb. "Edition" is a noun. You should follow "if" with "then". "i" should be capitalized. If you belonged here, then your grammar and usage would be correct. 70.74.164.9 (talk) 02:20, 25 January 2015 (UTC)

Reverted edit

How is what I edited not constructive? I removed something which didn't need to be there. I mean what I removed said "But when IDK". Why should that be on a wikipedia page? It doesn't sound like something that should be on wikipedia. --24.91.5.11 (talk) 17:21, 3 June 2015 (UTC)

Wonderful.

If you were not ESL you would notice the first sentence is partially non-sensical here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AH_v_West_London_Mental_Health_Trust Where it says "he" without ever mentioning that "AH" is in fact the patient his/herself of which it speaks (let alone a male) and not a legal representative or entity; and that it is in fact this person's initials is a fact we have to hold out to second paragraph for revelation of.

All of which (the most very basic of attributes of a given subject) is necessarily always best put at the very threshold of any discussion of which the audience must be assumed to know nothing.

Maybe now you can grasp the clarity I vainly tried to impart.

Which perhaps you could have had you not just reverted willy-nilly.

But yeah, lol, revert away without a second thought.

Just don't message me again.

In fact Ill be resetting my modem to get another IP to be sure I dont get another goddamn empty headed message like this, at least in this matter. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 97.115.146.98 (talk) 02:31, 4 June 2015 (UTC)

Hi. I am new to Wikipedia. I am the person most effected by this case and most of the information written online about it for which the links have been put (e.g. Bloomberg, Rueters etc) are one sided accounts. I was incarcerated at this time and could not get in touch with the media. Since it was a foreign country I was not freed to look for a lawyer and I simply could not fight the case in any proper manner. Now I dont know who is the guy making such pages on wikipedia and I just want to correct it. The information has been put out their very vehemently. (For example someone even created a twitter account by this name and started tweeting anti-american slogans from the id. It took me 6 years to come out of all of this then report this to Twitter and get the false information removed).

Hi, I notice that there is a serious Conflict of Interest issue here especially when removing content or adding content without valid reference points. Please refrain from editing this article in a way that violates wiki policies. Please try to add references that prove the neutrality of your edits. Please do not get into a revert war either without valid references.  A m i t  웃   18:35, 3 January 2016 (UTC)
Hi, the reason I didn't include any sources was because I found the information in the provided sources.
No this was not the case, especially for content you removed in the article, which is the bigger issue here.  A m i t  웃   18:43, 3 January 2016 (UTC)
This is nothing but another form of cyber-bullying. I am not an avid Wikipedia user. I would like to know how can I add a Court's trial transcripts (United States Court's Documents) as a source of information on Wikipedia. (Whoever has created the page has written his/her own inference of the facts, using a hateful language while citing links to news articles and not court documents). Since it directly effects me I would like to correct the information put here. The best source of facts is the Court Documents. Would appreciate your help in putting a reference to those here.
You first stated there were sources, now you state there are court documents. I would prefer you go and get this resolved in ANI or any other admin can help you with clarifying your cyber bullying complaints, as this place has fail safes in place and you are not dependent on only one editor, but until i see that there is changes to the article not adhering to wiki policies, I would not be letting the edits happen.  A m i t  웃   19:15, 3 January 2016 (UTC)
Like I said, I do not use wikipedia. The above comment, "Hi, the reason I didn't include any sources was because I found the information in the provided sources." was not made by me. I have no idea who made that comment on your user page. I am not looking for your pity. So please understand I do not expect you to "let the edits happen". I just thought you were better than me at using Wikipedia so I hoped you would help me figure out how to make a reference to a Court Document in a wikipedia page. (wikipedia is weird. It says that comment was made by someone at 108.162.161.222).

Your recent editing history at The Magicians (U.S. TV series) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Alex|The|Whovian? 07:49, 29 February 2016 (UTC)

You are also involved in an edit war at Smriti Irani where you continue to delete reasonable edits with sources. Kindly refrain from such activity, as it is not in the spirit of Wikipedia. Givemeplease (talk) 08:20, 29 February 2016 (UTC)

(edit conflict) Givemeplease - The edit made by A.amitkumar on Smriti Irani is not considered to be edit warring (at this time). The user has only reverted one edit today, and hadn't edited the article previously since two days ago. Please review Wikipedia's guidelines on edit warring and the three revert rule; it will help you understand what is and is not edit warring. ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 08:26, 29 February 2016 (UTC)
Noted. However, A.amitkumar has deleted sourced information on two instances since February 27. Even when I re-added the information being very charitable to the other point of view, it was deleted.

I apologize. I just realized that the first major edit on the Smriti Irani article was made by another user. Your subsequent edit was a minor one but your comment 'Really stupid!' on that edit led to my misunderstanding. Givemeplease (talk) 08:39, 29 February 2016 (UTC)

In reply to a vandalism reversal earlier this month

Hey, made an account since apparently I was an IP user previously. Haven't done more than read Wikipedia til now, so haven't bothered with an account. Anyway, I wanted to say that I am sorry about the incident on the Martha Graham page, and that it surprised me, as I neither remember viewing the page nor making an edit to it. It is possible that since there are many computers on our home's intranet, another family member may be the one who made the edit, though this to me seems rather unlikely, especially considering the nature of the edit. Lastly, I would just like to thank you for the warning and information, for your contributions to keeping Wikipedia vandalism-free. :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by SUN Babudro (talkcontribs) 16:09, 21 October 2016 (UTC)

Arrival

Please see Talk:Arrival (film)#Arrival's Plot, quoting WP:FILMPLOT. --Tenebrae (talk) 18:19, 9 November 2016 (UTC)

Quite self contradictory section of WP:FILMPLOT since it does say this too which seems that upcoming films and lost films are eligible to have a plot summary too... Any lost movies which is not available to general public shouldn't have a plot summary? I think just because it has happened elsewhere or some other time doesn't warrant putting the same reasoning for every edit and trying to own the article using similar predicaments.
Exceptions to the rule include upcoming films and "lost" films (which are not available to the public to verify), for which editors should use secondary sources.

 A m i t  웃   19:41, 9 November 2016 (UTC)

Grant you the MOS is confusing. But by standing consensus, not least of all because of copyright issues that the studios can press, WikiProject Film editors wait for the general release. In any case, once reverted, you go to the article talk page to convince fellow editors to reach a consensus to include the plot before the movie is released. You're absolutely welcome to try. --Tenebrae (talk) 16:47, 10 November 2016 (UTC)
Thanks... to the power of consensus :-). The majority of fools which i call now and then. The plot has no copyright... since it is written by us editors and cannot be a copy edit from somewhere else which the synopsis currently is.... I will rather wait till end of day today till the movies official public release.  A m i t  웃   17:04, 10 November 2016 (UTC)

EARTH1500: Dr. Walid Phares

Hello A.Amitakumar,

I would like to thank you for checking on the page that has been going through many different versions. Someone by the name of "Neutrality" deleted the last version that you took a look at and revised. I would like to contest such a revision and open a discussion. The page is heavily biased and does not reflect the person. Many of the articles cited do not contain solid evidence of such claims. Therefore, instead of deleted the previous claims I only added more to balance the page out. The sources I used had clear evidence that countered many of the sources already there. I appreciate you taking the time to understand the situation.
