Hello and welcome to Wikipedia! Hope you like it here, and stick around.
Here are some tips to help you get started:
- To sign your posts (on talk pages, for example) use the '~' symbol. To insert just your name, type ~~~ (3 tildes), or, to insert your name and timestamp, use ~~~~ (4 tildes).
- Try the Tutorial, and feel free to experiment in the test area.
- If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk
- Follow the Wikipedia:Simplified Ruleset
- Eventually, you might want to read the Manual of Style and Policies and Guidelines.
- Remember Wikipedia:Neutral point of view
- Explore, be bold in editing pages, and, most importantly, have fun!
Good luck!

Image copyright problem with Image:Jamie_sowers.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Jamie_sowers.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator.
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you have questions about copyright tagging of images, post on Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags or User talk:Carnildo/images. 13:31, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
Bcrossarena.jpg
[edit]Hi, Agc7528. Thanks for uploading the image of the Blue Cross Arena. However, I think there's a problem with it. Obviously, the image came straight from the BCA's web site. That would be ok in the case of a logo, but I don't think it's ok in the case of an image of the building itself -- especially one that has been artistically modified as this one has. Also, you put the "logo" copyright tag on the image, when it isn't a logo. Anyway, because of this, the image might be deleted. I wanted to warn you ahead of time and give you a chance to upload a more appropriate, freer image. Thanks for your contributions! Powers 12:20, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
Blanking talk pages
[edit]Hi, again, Agc7528. I've restored the messages that have been posted here on your talk page. WP custom is to not delete messages from other users, even on one's own talk page. Your user page is yours to do with what you want, but your talk page is considered to be primarily for other people to use to communicate with you. Removing those messages is considered contrary to that goal. Thanks again for your contributions! Powers 05:03, 26 March 2006 (UTC)

Union County LRT west of Elizabeth
[edit]Thanks for your e-mail. First of all, I only removed UCLR speculation from the Union and Roselle Park station articles, because they have never been included in an official proposal. User:Darkcore removed UCLR speculation from the articles on stations from Cranford to Plainfield inclusive, (I presume) on the grounds that Wikipedia is not a crystal ball. I'm somewhat ambivalent on those (see my further comments at Talk:Newark-Elizabeth Rail Link); perhaps including a couple of sentences in Union County Light Rail, and linking to that from the staion articles in a ==See also== section. In any event, any reference to Union or Roselle Park clearly falls short of Wikipedia's verifiability policy, and should -- and will -- be removed. --CComMack 22:12, 19 April 2006 (UTC)

Franklin St
[edit]I can't find this on the map. You need to describe its location better. Jaysbro 20:01, 23 May 2006 (UTC)
- I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Franklin Street, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Importance). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree, discuss the issues raised at Talk:Franklin Street. If you remove the {{dated prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. — Larry V (talk) 16:11, 2 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit]Why did you go and blank the ten or so prods I posted for Newark Express player articles you had created? What kind of a reaction is that? - CrazyRussian talk/contribs/email 02:20, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
