Image copyright problem with Image:Gulpaygani.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Gulpaygani.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images on Wikipedia is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. You can get help on image copyright tagging from Wikipedia talk:Image copyright tags. -- Carnildo 11:05, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:Ishraq3.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:Ishraq3.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI 14:08, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

Notability of Javad Badizadeh
[edit]A tag has been placed on Javad Badizadeh requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Kannie | talk 15:50, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
Hi, I removed the speedy tag on Javad Badizadeh, as it seems to me that your additions give the article an assertion of notability. However, other admins may not agree with me and re-insert the tag or delete the article. This article can still be proposed for deletion or sent to Articles for Deletion. You may want to look at WP:MUSIC to see what kind of information will help this article survive. The criteria there are tilted towards western pop music, so it may be harder for a non-western traditional musician meet the criteria. What should be included in the article is information that supports the idea this was an important musician, things like record sales, international concert performances, or awards won. Eventually you will need to provide sources for the information. As this is an English language project, sources in English are prefered, but if none are available, then sources in other languages can be used. Please contact me if I canbe of any help. Article and original research
[edit]I noticed you created a page at Alimorad Davoodi. There was already a page about this person at Ali Murad Davudi, and I have redirected your page to that page. I also noticed your note on the talk page; there's a couple problems with what you have noted. First of all the book is in Persian, and you would have to translate it. Editor translations are typically not recommended as it can be considered original research and not allowed. Secondly the book has to be published by a publisher who does not allow self-published material to meet the verifiability policy. Regards, -- Jeff3000 (talk) 04:20, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
- Also, Bahá'í Ties to Foreign Powers and Shah's Regime is quite an article and covers a lot of ground. A very good start, on a very important topic. However, at this time it lacks references and reads like original research. I've only skimmed it, but there appear to be POV issues as well. I hope you have the time to tighten that article up. It would serve as a serious foil to answer these specious claims — but the tighter it is the better. I hope you don't mind, but I have dropped a couple of tags on it to flag it as unfinished. Ciao, MARussellPESE (talk) 22:06, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Moussa Maroufi, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.rkac.com/people/mmaroufi.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 13:29, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

Mirza Abdollah
[edit]I've removed your addition to Mirza Abdollah. It's a complete synthesis of other material and is original research. I really think you need to spend some time reading Wikipedia's policies. Unless something is specifically stated in a reliable source, don't include it in Wikipedia. Also, you should read the Manual of Style, to see how to format a Wikipedia article. Don't put extra spaces before and after subsections. Regards, -- Jeff3000 (talk) 17:22, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
- Here's an example of original research. You wrote:
- "Bahá'u'lláh did not willingly choose to establish residence in that area of the world."
- for which I tagged the statement with a {{fact}} tag, and for which you commented:
- "Jeff, Please pay attention to the story. I established above that the Persian king freed Baha'u'llah but then sent him to exile. Then, the other references point to other exiles by the Ottoman Emperor from Baghdad, to Istanbul, to Adrianople, to Akka. From the above, isn't it obvious that Baha'u'llah didn't willingly go to Akka but the two Muslim kings forced him to? Why do I have to repeat myself here? Thanks"
- You are making a conclusion based on multiple statements from sources. Policy states that "If the sources cited do not explicitly reach the same conclusion ... then the editor is engaged in original research'". You need a source that specifically states that Baha'ullah did not willingly choose to live in that area of the world.
- Another point to remember is that this not a Baha'i encyclopedia. Using capitals in pronouns such as "He" and "His" is not appropriate; as well, honorifics such as Holy, etc are also not appropriate.
- Another final point; you wrote "Thus, the original decision to leave Persia was not his, but that of a Muslim king." and "Thus, over a 40-year period, two Muslim kings corroborated to send Bahá'u'lláh from his native land of Persia to a series of exiles that end in the Palestinian town of `Akká where Bahá'u'lláh died in 1892." These sentences while true, are not neutral. Placing the adjective Muslim is accusatory, and not useful, and the second sentence is also a synthesis.
- I would suggest internalizing Wikipedia policies, as they will make your editing in the future much easier and productive. Regards, -- Jeff3000 (talk) 20:06, 13 July 2008 (UTC)

File source problem with File:Falsafi.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Falsafi.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 05:08, 13 September 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Salavat (talk) 05:08, 13 September 2009 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
[edit]Hello AdibMasumian! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 7 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- Hengameh Akhavan - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Hassan Kassai - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Copyright problem: Hengameh Akhavan
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Hengameh Akhavan, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to be a copy from http://www.iranchamber.com/music/hakhavan/hengameh_akhavan.php, and therefore a copyright violation. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with our copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators are liable to be blocked from editing.
If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under license allowed by Wikipedia, then you should do one of the following:
- If you have permission from the author to release the text under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License (CC-BY-SA), leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Hengameh Akhavan and send an email with confirmation of permission to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". Make sure you quote the exact page name, Hengameh Akhavan, in your email. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted "under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License (CC-BY-SA), version 3.0, or that the material is released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Hengameh Akhavan with a link to where we can find that note.

Additional concerns
[edit]I'm afraid Habib Sabet is a similar concern. You have copied content verbatim and also close parphrased material. This article will need to be rewritten, if it is to be retained. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 15:01, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
Copyright block
[edit]Please take this opportunity to be sure you understand our copyright policy and our policies regarding how to use non-free content. If you believe this block is unjustified or if you are able to provide a credible assertion that you understand and intend to comply with these policies, you may appeal the block by adding the text
{{unblock|Your reason here}}
below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. Moonriddengirl (talk) 17:39, 26 August 2010 (UTC)- I'm afraid I have now discovered copyright problems in Vahid Darabi, Seven Martyrs of Tehran, Reza Mahjoubi, Hassan Kassai, Morteza Neydavoud, Javad Badizadeh and Morteza Mahjoubi as well. While you have made an effort to rewrite some of this text, it follows far too closely on the original sources for us to retain, and some of it is copied verbatim. I do not believe you should be contributing to Wikipedia at this point until we can be assured that you both understand and will comply with the U.S. copyright laws that govern our project. Meanwhile, given the persistence of this issue over several years, I have requested a copyright investigation into the remainder of your contributions. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 17:39, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
