2012 Diplomatic Missions Attacked
I think you need to stop being such a leftist and open your eyes.
- Fact- These Muslims were holding up flags used exclusively by the Taliban and al-Qaeda.
- Fact-These Muslims were chanting pro-al-Qaeda chants such as "Obama, Obama, we LOVE Osama"
Several news sources have used the term "al-Qaeda sympathizers", and judging those facts I think it would be correct to say. This doesn't mean they ARE apart of al-Qaeda, or the Taliban it just means they sympathize with their shared goals. I think your the one with the problem here....--Collingwood26 (talk) 11:10, 17 September 2012 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for September 19
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Sketchbook, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sketch (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

DYK nomination for Barad, Syria
Hello Amandajm. Thank you for your review of Barad, Syria. I've suggested an alternative hook (almost 2 weeks ago) that may allay the problems you noted in the previous hook. Could you please continue your review as the nomination now is stalled. Thank you! Yazan (talk) 06:44, 26 September 2012 (UTC)
- I've tried to re-write the section that you had concerns about. Do take a look and let me know if it reads better. Thanks. Yazan (talk) 05:10, 27 September 2012 (UTC)
Dead = crime scene????
Can you please explain the logic behind the statement that you wrote regarding the edits you made to a page I created - Murder of June Anne Devaney. Just because someone is dead it does not make it murder or a crime scene. June Anne could have wandered off from the ward and simply died of exposure whilst sat next to the wall, in that case a body would be present but it would not be a crime scene. Just because a body is found it does not make the location a crime scene.Markdarrly (talk) 10:18, 3 October 2012 (UTC)
Investiture of Zimrilim
Greetings Amanda, you're a prolific editor when it comes to art history (and obviously much more of an expert on the subject than I am), so I'd like to ask you to take a look at the Investiture of Zimrilim, if you have time. The article was already approved at DYK, and I'm just wondering if you can take look to see if there are any issues that need fixing before it's on the main page. Thanks! Yazan (talk) 16:26, 9 October 2012 (UTC)
- Hello Amanda! Thanks for the notes. I've tried re-arranging the section and clarifying it a bit more, and have replied at the talkpage! Thank you again! Yazan (talk) 15:06, 10 October 2012 (UTC)
- On a side note, I'm also attempting to write about the beautiful statue of Ebih-Il of Mari (his face is so cheerful it never fails to make smile). I would appreciate any help/input or if your time permits (and it falls within your interests), some collaboration on writing it. I know we, kind of, got off on the wrong foot on Barad, Syria, but I do appreciate your expertise and astute (if scathing) remarks. Many thanks, either way. Best! Fashion
Why is it ridiculous to use a recent photo to illustrate a 50s hairstyle? They were both good photos of 50s hairstyles♦ Dr. Blofeld 14:21, 10 October 2012 (UTC)
Well done! Looks much more 50s now! But it was actually an Indian who added the curry thing... ♦ Dr. Blofeld 10:03, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
I know LOL but User:Nvvchar was actually a young man in 50s India so likely remember the Curry puff style! Yeah I know, I get a horrible taste in my mouth of wotsits tasting of curry powder!! Coffee, tell me about it, on my third cup already today. Glad you are interested in this actually, it would be good to produce a GA or two on such articles. I ttried to find something more scholarly in JSTOR for the overall view as you so rightly identified needs adding but couldn't find anything, I'm sure something exists somewhere though! ♦ Dr. Blofeld 13:57, 12 October 2012 (UTC)

Saint Peter page
Amandajm, thanks for leaving the feedback on my talk page, and I do have a lot of respect for you opinion. Here is my thought process for the 2 photos, let me know if you think it makes sense...
The entire basilica is named after Saint Peter, but there is not even a photo of Saint Peter's statue until the tail end of the page, and this only photo is piled in with others, easy to miss. The photo is also a close up, without showing any relevance to the surrounding. Is it in the middle of the church or in a corner? Is it a miniature or 10ft tall? Ansel Adams talked about context and scale in good photos, which is what the remaining photo lacks. If you feel my photo is not the best out there, I am ok, but you should find one that can convey a good story as a replacement.
For the crypt vent cover, I put it next to the section that describes the crypt. Which gives context to the words to the left of it. It is not just a random photo and random placement.
I have around 500 photos from St. Peter's Basilica, but I only chose two that I felt would be useful to the readers of the page that weren't already covered by others. Just because the two of us don't always have the same thought process, does not mean I was random.
I think you made Senior Editor since I last visited your page... congrats!
