And thanks for expanding the article Holly & Ivy. ---Another Believer (Talk) 05:29, 3 January 2016 (UTC)
Thank you very much for the resources and the message. Hopefully, I can continue to expand the article Holly & Ivy until it is really good. It will most likely never get to the level of a featured article, but it is exciting to be able to expand on something that was barely just a stub at first. Aoba47 (talk) 05:58, 3 January 2016 (UTC)
- When you are finished expanding the article, I hope you'll consider requesting a copy edit, then nominating it for Good article status. No pressure, but it sure is nice to see your work recognized! ---Another Believer (Talk) 21:45, 4 January 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you for your message and for all the help that you have provided for me with the article. I am still new to Wikipedia so I did not even know about copy edit, but I will definitely do that soon. I would love to have other people see the page and possibly edit it or add more to it. I am planning on adding audio files to the page once my account is confirmed to improve the page more, but I might do the copy edit later today to help make the page better. Thank you again! It would be awesome if that page received Good article status after I worked so hard to improve it from being a stub! Aoba47 (talk) 22:12, 4 January 2016 (UTC)
- I have just submitted a request for a copy edit. It is crazy how much the page has improved. You can obviously tell that I am new lol. Aoba47 (talk) 22:50, 4 January 2016 (UTC)

Liz Sanbourne Query
Hello Aoba47: I'm in the middle of copy editing Liz Sanbourne but have a problem. See the following:
Early appearances (2001–02)
This is very confusing: “Along with Brian, and their friend Doc, Liz becomes close with Sheridan, who suffers from amnesia and thinks her name is Diana, and tries to help her regain her memory. She grows increasingly jealous of the attention Brian pays to Diana and suspicious of Brian’s true identity.”
This reads as: Sheridan suffers from amnesia. Sheridan thinks Liz is named Diana. Sheridan tries to help Liz(Diana) regain her memory. Liz grows increasingly jealous of the attention Brian pays Diana. ???
Can you clarify?
Regards. Twofingered Typist (talk) 15:09, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
Liz Sanbourne
Another clarification - "Whitney turns against her mother due to the incorrect assumption that her child with Julian is child, which makes Whitney's relationship with him incestuous." Twofingered Typist (talk) 15:32, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
- @Twofingered Typist: Thank you for your help and I apologize for all the confusion. I tried to convey all the information in as concise language as possible and it just ended up being very confusing. Here is a revise version of the first sentence that hopefully clears up the meaning:
- "Along with Brian, and their friend Doc, Liz becomes close with the amnesiac Sheridan and helps her to try to remember her past. Sheridan, who believes her name is Diana, forms a romantic relationship with Brian. Liz grows increasingly jealous of the attention Brian pays to Diana and suspicious of Brian’s true identity.”
- As for the second question, it would probably make more sense if I broke it up into multiple sentences.
- "Everyone incorrectly assumes that Eve's child with Julian is Chad; Whitney's relationship with Chad is believed to be incestuous as they would be half-siblings. Ashamed of committing incest by having sex with Chad, Whitney turns against her mother for not telling her the truth about her past earlier."
- I apologize again for the confusion. Let me know if there are any other questions or confusing parts.
- Best, Aoba47 (talk) 15:46, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
Liz Sanbourne
Hello: Other than awaiting clarification of the two plot items I asked about previously, the copy edit of your article is completed.
You will notice that I archived the first of your Internet citations and I would strongly suggest that you archive the rest, as time allows. This ensures your article's references are available "forever". The site I use is https://archive.org/web/. Simply copy the url in your citation and paste it in the "save" box on the archive.org site and click "save". It creates a copy of the original page and provides you with a new url to add to your original citation. If you look at the url I've archived you'll see the syntax. You add the new url to the end of the original citation like this: |archiveurl= http etc|archivedate=31 January 2016}}, or whatever. Not all websites allow archiving - CBS TV news and the NY Times are two I've come across, so there's not much you can do about that unless there is an alternate citation you could use.
Look forward to receiving your clarifications. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Kind regards.Twofingered Typist (talk) 16:17, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
- @Twofingered Typist: Thank you for your help! I have answered your questions about the two plot items in the past topic you post on my talk page; let me know if you cannot see it for any reason. I will do the web archiving as soon as possible and thank you for setting up an example for to easily understand and follow.
Kind regards. Aoba47 (talk) 16:22, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
Liz Sanbourne Update
Aoba47: Your updates make perfect sense and clarify things immensely. There's no need to apologize for the confusion - you know your subject, so it's easy to assume others do as well. It's difficult when doing a summary to know what to leave in, and what to omit. This looks good now. You're welcome concerning the archiving. It's amazing when I edit articles how many links are dead - so this solves that problem very nicely. Kind regards.Twofingered Typist (talk) 20:52, 31 January 2016 (UTC)
- @Twofingered Typist: Thank you for your response! I'm glad that it makes sense; I would have completely forgotten that links can become dead so I am glad that I was able to archive everything just in case. It took me forever to find those sources so I don't want to run the risk of losing them. Aoba47 (talk) 20:56, 31 January 2016 (UTC)

- No worries; I found the following sentence in 'Background' doesn't come from the given source: "Sheraton Kalouria, senior vice president of NBC’s daytime programming, said the show’s racially diverse ensemble represented by "the African American Russells and the Hispanic Lopez-Fitzgeralds" reflects "its truly color-blind storytelling"". The reference provided is [1]. I've added {{not in citation}} to mark it. Cheers, Baffle gab1978 (talk) 01:54, 20 February 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you for bringing this to my attention. The variety citation was intended only for the bit about Kalouria being senior vice president of NBC’s daytime programming and I incorrectly put it at the end of the sentence. I have moved it so that all the sources should match the quotes. The quote was taken from the Jet magazine source. Sorry for the confusion and thank you for the help! - Thanks; in 'Liz Sandbourne (Amelia Marshall 2001-06)' the second part of the sentence, describing the departure, including the direct quotation, needs citing: "Liz leaves the show in February 2006, abandoning her vengeance against Eve, Julian, and Alistair to find a new life for herself; her departure was described as "abrupt" by media outlets and the program's cast". I didn't find any other glaring errors I couldn't deal with. Cheers, Baffle gab1978 (talk) 00:52, 23 February 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you! I have corrected that section and added two citations. Thank you very much for the very thorough copy edit. I apologize for any silly or obvious mistakes as this is the first time that I am editing a list and your comments were very helpful for me to learn more about how to properly do everything on here. I am mostly likely going to be submitting this page for Peer Review in the near future before nominating it to become a Featured List (which is my overall goal for the page). Simone Russell
Hello Aoba47: The copy edit you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article Simone Russell has been completed. I have two suggestions. You might want to provide a brief explanation, if you can, as to why Lena Cardwell “lost” the role of Simone to Chrystee Pharris. Also, I notice that some of the article's urls have been archived; you should do any that are not, as time allows, to ensure the article remains stable.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Leavin'
Hello Aoba47: I have spent time going through Leavin' fixing multiple issues and I think that the article is now completely edited. I changed part of the section on promotion because the citation used explained what was planned not what had taken place. As always, it would be wise to archive any urls as time allows to avoid the development of "link rot" in future. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
Kind regards.

A note for future GA reviews...
Hi, per WP:GA/I, there were two steps after passing the GA that you forgot to do. First, you should add "GA" as the "class" parameter to all talk page WikiProjects (which I did here [2]), and secondly, you must list the article under the appropriate section at WP:GA (in this case, under Media and Drama, Television, Veronica Mars), keep it in alphabetical order, and update the count of articles. I did this here [3]. It's not a big deal, but I'm just letting you know if you choose to review other GAs in the future. Thanks! Johanna(talk to me!) 15:34, 3 March 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you! I will be more careful in the future. Aoba47 (talk) 15:38, 3 March 2016 (UTC)

Grey's Anatomy
Hey, Thanks again for the review! Well this may sound a little odd but since I have worked on creating numerous episode articles for Grey's Anatomy and you are interested in the show, so I thought you might want to work on some on these articles, and of course create new ones. Let me know what you think of the proposal! NumerounovedantTalk 20:02, 10 March 2016 (UTC)
- Hello, thank you for your message. I would love to work on the episode articles for Grey's Anatomy. I will work on them sporadically when I have the time as I am too busy with real life/work to devote too much time to creating/expanding/revising articles for now. Have a great day! Aoba47 (talk) 22:26, 10 March 2016 (UTC)
- Yeah! Meanwhile if you find time could you go through Kalki Koechlin's article that I just nominated for WP:FA! Thank you! NumerounovedantTalk 11:42, 11 March 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for your kind words and for considering me to review your article for WP:FA. Unfortunately, I do not have the time or experience to adequately do such a review. I am only doing reviews for GAN sporadically as small breaks from my work so I honestly do not have the time to commit to a larger review of something and I have not done an FA review before so I would recommend a more experienced user to look at it instead. Thank you again though. Aoba47 (talk) 17:10, 11 March 2016 (UTC)

Hello Aoba47: The copy edit you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article Madeline 1st and 2nd Grade Math has been completed. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I would say you are a much better contributor to Wikipedia than me. Good luck with your future work and I hope you enjoy the album once it is released. :-) Aoba47 (talk) 22:41, 17 March 2016 (UTC)
Hello Aoba47! I really appreciate your recent contributions to the aforementioned article! I recently noticed you put in a request for a copy edit and possible GA nomination, but I was wondering if you would be willing to do a co-nomination effort with me, similarly to what two editors are doing on This Used to Be My Playground. It would be greatly appreciated if possible. Thanks for both your friendly nature and recent contributions! Carbrera (talk) 14:29, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
- @Carbrera: Thank you! I am glad that I could help in any way. I would definitely like to do a co-nomination with you and put up the article for possible GA nomination. Let me know if you would like to me to nominate it. It would be awesome to take the article all the way from a stub to a GA. Aoba47 (talk) 15:33, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
- Okay great! Either of us could nominate it; it doesn't matter to me. I'm on spring break for the next 8 days so I have a lot of time on my hands. Thanks! Carbrera (talk) 15:40, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
- @Carbrera: Awesome! I'll put it up for nomination then in a couple minutes then. Aoba47 (talk) 15:44, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
- Totally unrelated to "Shine", I have been working on a sandbox for the past hour now for "Rare" due to it being in the tabloids so much now, and the minute I was gonna press "create", an article I had up crashed and froze my computer. I'm afraid all of my work (estimated 10,000 bytes) will probably be lost. I was wondering if this is the case, if you would be willing to help me restart it if there's no way I could recover it. I'm like in near tears right now; this is a pretty awful situation for me. The page was User:Carbrera/RGS. :( Carbrera (talk) 16:07, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
- @Carbrera: Oh no! I am really sorry to hear that. I hate when that happens. I can help you edit and expand the article a little bit, but unfortunately, I will be too busy with school to do a lot of heavy-lifting. (I always procrastinate and distract myself on here when I should be doing work lol). Good luck with your work. "Rare" is one of my favorite songs from the album so I look forward to your article/work on it. Aoba47 (talk) 16:14, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
- HAPPY CRY! HAPPY CRY! I shut down my computer and everything was restored! Sorry for the fake scare! I AM SO RELIEVED! Carbrera (talk) 16:20, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
- Well, I just nominated "Rare" for GA status. I hope you can take a look at it! I would really appreciate it! Perhaps even review it? Not pressuring you or anything, but I really enjoy working with you. Thanks. Carbrera (talk) 17:34, 20 March 2016 (UTC)
- @Carbrera: Congratulations and I am glad that all your work was restored. I will look at the article as soon as possible to revise and possibly review it if time allows. I really enjoy working with you too. I am just glad that I could help in some way on here. Aoba47 (talk) 17:41, 20 March 2016 (UTC)

HOW DARE YOU ASK ME IF IT WAS OKAY FOR YOU TO REVIEW THIS ARTICLE!?!?! Who do you even think you are? Of course you can! Thanks so much haha! Carbrera (talk) 02:15, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
- @Carbrera: You're so silly lol. I just wanted to make sure since I am still relatively new to Wikipedia and have only been doing reviews for a couple weeks now. "Rare" is my favorite song from the album though so I knew I had to review it! Aoba47 (talk) 02:44, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
- No, you're fine lol. I need a moment to rant, so I'm gonna list my favorites quickly because I know you're interested! ;)
- "Where Would I Be?"
- "Getting Warmer"
- "Rare"
- "Send Me a Picture"
- "Make Me Like You"
- "Me Without You"
- "Naughty"
- "Used to Love You"
- "Misery"
- "Rocket Ship"
- "Truth"
- "Asking 4 It"
- "You're My Favorite"
- "Splash"
- "Obsessed"
- "Red Flag"
Sorry, this is gonna take up some room on your talk page, but I'll delete it if you want me too. What are your favorites? Carbrera (talk) 02:50, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
- No worries; feel free to post as much as you would like on this page lol. I always enjoy talking to people so it is all good. I still haven't listened to the bonus tracks, but my list is pretty much the same as yours, other than ranking "Used to Love You" and "Rare" a little higher. I still have to listen to the whole album when I have more time lol. What do you think will be released as singles? (or the better question: what would you want to be released as singles? lol) Aoba47 (talk) 03:29, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
- Well, "Asking 4 It" looks like the next one to me. I'd love to see "Send Me a Picture" as one because it's a bit risqué and why not? "Rare" might be one as well. I hope (now hear me out) that a Target exclusive becomes a single... because in the US, none of those songs are available on iTunes. If she released a Target song as a single on iTunes, all of her fans that don't have the CD are now able to buy it. It's a good marketing strategy in my mind. And if she does do this, I hope she releases "Getting Warmer". "Rare" is super good and it's practically tied with "Getting Warmer"; I just love "Where Would I Be?" because it's so Gwen... What do you think is gonna be the next single? Carbrera (talk) 03:34, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
- They are definitely going to do "Asking 4 It" as I can see the record company thinking that it will have more radio appeal (especially with the Fetty Wap feature). I would love "Where Would I Be?" to be the next single because it is so "Gwen" and when you hear it, you immediately think of her. I am more than positive "Rare" will be a single in the future as well (there was an interview where Gwen said that it was one of her favorite songs from the album and that she wants it to be a single in the future and she is usually successful with her single campaigns). I could see an awesome music video for "Send Me a Picture" (but then again I love music videos in general and wish I could be a music video director lol). I actually think that releasing a bonus track as a single is a really good idea/marketing strategy. I know a lot of artists have done it in the past (I think a lot of people forget that Super Bass was a bonus track on Nicki Minaj's debut album as it was so successful in its own right). I will have to listen to "Getting Warmer" sometime and I will let you know what I think. I am excited to see what she does with the tour too! I wonder what songs she will put on the setlist. Aoba47 (talk) 03:41, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
- You're right; I totally forgot "Super Bass" was a bonus track. I had that CD a long time ago... I wonder where it went lol. And I agree that "Rare" would be a good candidate. I hope Gwen tours, but in some interview she said how she doesn't think it's possible given her current situations. Crossing my fingers though! Carbrera (talk) 03:44, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
- I think she will most likely do a small tour or selected performances in major cities. Not only is she busy being a mother and sorting her life out after the divorce, but I could see her record label being worried she may not be able to sell enough for a tour (while we both love her, Gwen has been absent from the music/touring scene for a while and "Used to Love You" and "Make Me Like You" performed decently in the U.S. but probably not to the degree the label would feel comfortable enough to do a bigger budget tour). I can realistically see one or two more singles come out of the album. Hopefully, she continues to make more albums (whether it is more solo projects or with No Doubt). We will just have to wait and see though! Aoba47 (talk) 04:10, 26 March 2016 (UTC)

2016 GA Cup-Round 2
Greetings, GA Cup competitors! Wednesday saw the end of Round 1. Sainsf took out Round 1 with an amazing score of 765. In second place, MPJ-DK earned an astounding 742 points, and in third place, FunkMonk received 610 points. In Round 1, 206 reviews were completed, more than any other year! At the beginning of March, there were 595 outstanding nominations in the GAN queue; by the end of Round 1, there were 490. We continue to make a difference at GAN and throughout Wikipedia, something we should all be proud of. Thanks to all our competitors for helping to make the GA Cup a continued success, and for your part in helping other editors improve articles. We hope to see all remaining users fighting it out in Round 2 so we can lower the backlog as much as possible. To qualify for the second round, you needed to make it into the top 16 of participants. Users were placed in 4 random pools of 4. To qualify for Round 3, the top 2 in each pool will progress, and there will also be one wildcard. This means that the participant who comes in 9th place (all pools combined) will also move on. Round 2 will start on April 1 at 0:00:01 UTC and end on April 28 at 23:59:59 UTC. Information about Round 2 and the pools can be found here Also, remember that a major rule change will go into effect starting on April 1, which marks the beginning of Round Two. Round 1 had an issue brought up in the rules, which we are correcting with this clarification. We believe that this change will make the competition more inherently fair. The new rule is: All reviews must give the nominator (or anyone else willing to improve the article) time to address the issues at hand, even if the article would qualify for what is usually called a "quick fail" in GA terms. To avoid further confusion, we have updated the scoring page, replacing the term "quick fail" with the term "fail without granting time for improvements". We expect all reviewers to put a review on hold for seven days in cases such as these as well, in order to apply the same standards to every competitor. The judges will strictly enforce this new rule. Good luck and have fun! Cheers from Figureskatingfan, 3family6, Jaguar, MrWooHoo, and Zwerg Nase. To subscribe or unsubscribe to future GA Cup newsletter, please add or remove your name to our mailing list. If you are a participant still competing, you will be on the mailing list no matter what as this is the easiest way to communicate between all participants.

Olivia (Olivia album)
Hello Aoba47: The copy edit you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article Olivia (Olivia album) has been completed.
You list two bonus tracks for the Japanese release but I notice that both are numbered 13. This should be clarified. Also, the citation for "You Got the Damn Thing (I Like) Remix" (Japan bonus track) (#27) doesn't appear to me to show the track's title.
As time allows, I would suggest that you archive the rest of the articles' urls, I notice that one has been - most have not.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Kind regards, Twofingered Typist (talk) 15:21, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
- @Twofingered Typist: I apologize for the delay in my response. I am working on this right now and will also try to have all the links archived by the end of the day. Thank you for your comments. I will let you know as soon as the issues are cleared up/fixed. Aoba47 (talk) 18:38, 31 March 2016 (UTC)

DYK for Eve Russell
On 4 April 2016, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Eve Russell, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Tracey Ross based her soap opera performance as Eve Russell on Eve White from the film The Three Faces of Eve and Catherine Halsey from Ayn Rand's novel The Fountainhead? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Eve Russell. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. |
