Hi, can you please add some referenced (vital!) as well as context i.e. why are a Costan Rican team playing? If I didn't know you I would presume it was a hoax article... GiantSnowman 15:49, 17 February 2013 (UTC)

Your contributions for India national basketball team

My friend, I think it makes sense to put a template onto the roster of the article India national basketball team. One unknown user keeps vandalizing the page daily. Please let me know what you think about it. Stephreef (talk) 09:31, 3 March 2013 (UTC)

Sorry for the intrusion, but I just ran across this while checking edits. Remember that, if necessary, you can report the user at WP:UAA or request page protection at WP:PP. --Jackson Peebles (talk) 18:38, 19 March 2013 (UTC)

Henry Ezeh

Hi there. I just noticed the article you expanded last night, Henry Ezeh, and I did some copyedit. When I saw that you had expanded it, I read through it to find out if there was something interesting there, in which case I would have nominated it for WP:DYK, but I soon realized that the prose was mostly a list of his goals. It is really not necessary to list every goal a player has scored, especially not for a striker, but when you do you should try to not repeat the same sentence every time: "Ezeh then scored his #th goal of the season against Foo FC on XX Month XXXX, in which he scored in the 57th minute as his club won X–X". :) Mentoz86 (talk) 13:35, 26 March 2013 (UTC)

Better to be add content in a lazy and quickly way, then not adding anything :D Mentoz86 (talk) 17:08, 26 March 2013 (UTC)

Talk page banners

Hi AK. When you're creating talk page WikiProject banners for players or other individuals, please could you add the {{WikiProject Biography}} banner as well as the other ones, thanks, C679 08:25, 3 April 2013 (UTC)

International years

No, it doesn't - you are implying that the international career is over just because he hasn't been called-up for a year? WP:OR my friend. And with the player I mentioned on Roy's page, the player in question had played at the AFCON earlier this year! GiantSnowman 08:07, 4 April 2013 (UTC)

The article Eastern Railway FC has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No notability established per WP:GNG. Only one source exists and it does not constitute significant coverage.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Yusuke Muta

Hi there, you'll see I've made a few changes to the Yusuke Muta article, you appear to not be using any of the WP:FOOTY approved formatting for the infobox or the career statistics table (which I have removed anyway as unreferened). Please also do not use Transfermakt, it is not considered a reliable source as the content is pretty much open-to-anyone to edit (similar to Wikipedia...). Regards, GiantSnowman 15:59, 11 April 2013 (UTC)

For an example of the appropriate table format, have a look at Ross Hannah. As for sourcing, Soccerway is completely fine - I use it lots myself. Let me know if you need any further help. GiantSnowman 16:16, 11 April 2013 (UTC)
As you're pretty much the only editor creating decent Indian articles, I'd say it's up to you - there is no consensus at WP:FOOTY about it. I know that English tables tend to be the club season; Scottish ones are the league season. As long as you choose one way and keep it consistent then there should be no issues. Hi there AF, AL "here",

you may want to keep an eye on this article, User:Spuaik is up to no good, inflating stats in box (example, he never played for Gillingham officially, only a trial, yet this "user" reinstated that club in box with 8 games and 3 goals!; for CD La Muela he scored two in 10 games as BDFUTBOL.com well shows it, the "user" inflated it to 12/5!).

In your last edit you claimed to have "undone all edits", but Spuaik's stuff was all still there. I took care of it now, cheers and happy weekend --AL (talk) 18:16, 25 April 2013 (UTC)

I have a question for you....

I've been thinking about this for a while now, but at the same time I've been trying to figure out if this is allowed or not. What I've been thinking about is creating categories that contain a list of Draft Picks by each MLS club. So what that would mean is, each team would have a list of players that were drafted by the club in either the MLS College Draft, MLS SuperDraft or the MLS Supplemental Draft. I know they do that with players that were selected in the NBA Draft, but I'm just wondering if this would be allowed with soccer? – Michael (talk) 02:19, 29 April 2013 (UTC)

Well, what I would do is only include a list of players drafted in either the old MLS College Draft, MLS SuperDraft or MLS Supplemental Draft. MLS Expansion Draft and MLS Re-Entry Draft picks I'm not going to include because that creates a lot of confusion. I'll go ahead and get started on all the teams and kinda show you what we're going with here. – Michael (talk) 02:19, 29 April 2013 (UTC)

I have question to you.In today's newspaper they gave many transfers of I-League.Do you think it is correct to put the transfers in Wikipedia? Also if I do how will I give the references?

Deb (talk) 05:31, 31 May 2013 (UTC)

Sunil Chhetri

"Chhetri was still on their books in 2011 (He was released even when pre-season began) and at that time the club already changed to Sporting Kansas City."

If he was released during the preseason, then he should be listed as a KC player in '2010', not '2010-2011'. When I started editing a few years ago, I was taught that for MLS, USL, NASL or PDL, we go by seasons played. Which for Chhetri, was 2010. I've went with that ever since along with most of the editors who work on MLS articles. As far as I'm concerned, he should only be listed in 2010. – Michael (talk) 23:38, 1 June 2013 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Sadi Jalali, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Canada national soccer team (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hey ArsenalFan700

I'm sending you this because you've made quite a few edits to the template namespace in the past couple of months. If I've got this wrong, or if I haven't but you're not interested in my request, don't worry; this is the only notice I'm sending out on the subject :).

So, as you know (or should know - we sent out a centralnotice and several watchlist notices) we're planning to deploy the VisualEditor on Monday, 1 July, as the default editor. For those of us who prefer markup editing, fear not; we'll still be able to use the markup editor, which isn't going anywhere.

What's important here, though, is that the VisualEditor features an interactive template inspector; you click an icon on a template and it shows you the parameters, the contents of those fields, and human-readable parameter names, along with descriptions of what each parameter does. Personally, I find this pretty awesome, and from Monday it's going to be heavily used, since, as said, the VisualEditor will become the default.

The thing that generates the human-readable names and descriptions is a small JSON data structure, loaded through an extension called TemplateData. I'm reaching out to you in the hopes that you'd be willing and able to put some time into adding TemplateData to high-profile templates. It's pretty easy to understand (heck, if I can write it, anyone can) and you can find a guide here, along with a list of prominent templates, although I suspect we can all hazard a guess as to high-profile templates that would benefit from this. Hopefully you're willing to give it a try; the more TemplateData sections get added, the better the interface can be. If you run into any problems, drop a note on the Feedback page.

CHURCHILL BROTHERS template

Hi there AF, AL "here",

i tried to arrange this template coherently, with just the surname when there is only one guy with that surname, you reverted me saying "Not how it works". Do you mind then telling me how it works, why do we need EURÍPEDES AMOREIRINHA written when AMOREIRINHA suffices 200% well (even if he has it written on his shirt, we don't need to translate it to the WP squad template)?

I give up, not going to enter an edit war, it stays your way also because i respect you and your work, happy week --AL (talk) 15:16, 1 July 2013 (UTC)

Thanks, sorry for being so hasty. --AL (talk) 20:49, 1 July 2013 (UTC)
