Wikipedia talk:Tools
[edit]I have reverted your edit to Wikipedia talk:Tools because it not only appeared to have nothing to do with discussing Wikipedia:Tools, which is the purpose of that talk page, but it also deleted all previous discussions. Please note that such drastic editing is often considered vandalism, and may result in a block of your account. If you have an issue with a Wikipedia editor, please bring it up with them on their talk page. If this is about a Wikipedia subject, you should discuss it on that article's talk page. If it is merely expressing personal opinions, Wikipedia is not the forum for this, as it summarizes already published information from reliable sources, not the opinions of its editors. Let me know if you have any questions about this matter. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 05:47, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
- I see that you have also made this post to your user page. Please note that although users are given significant leeway in the content of their user pages, these pages are still required to serve the purposes of Wikipedia and not simply be used as a personal website. (See Wikipedia:User page and Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not for more information.) Also, using Wikipedia resources to launch personal attacks is a very quick route to getting blocked or banned. (See Wikipedia:No personal attacks.) I hope this is not your purpose for coming to Wikipedia. ~ Jeff Q (talk) 05:58, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:XXXX.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:XXXX.JPG. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 07:13, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
