Need more help with good sources for notability
Hi, I believe you denied my draft biography entry for game designer Arnold Hendrick. I get that I do not have enough reliable sources. I know they're out there but I am working full time still and I don't have time to find them. Is there a way I can ask others for help with this? Thank you. Nricketts (talk) 19:50, 24 August 2023 (UTC)
- Hello Nricketts! I think that your draft has improved a lot since I reviewed it. However, the sections "Early life" and "Tabletop games" need inline citations. Even if the sources you have do support it, you need to link them after the correct sentences. You could ask people for help at the Teahouse, where I am a host. You could also add the template {{Template:draft}}. Hope this helps! Asparagusus (interaction) 13:18, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for your help. If I get time I may try to add citations. But trying to do anything in here seems more and more complex every time I try. Drafts, Sandbox, user pages--there's just too much. I don't see how anyone has the time to mess with it. Anyway I do appreciate your help. Nricketts (talk) 16:27, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
Vandalist
Hello Asparagusus,
I'm not a vandalist. I corrected the playlist of the album of the Rolling Stones "Goats Head Soup" Deluxe edition. "Heartbreaker" and "Doo Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker)" are the same song, so it's not necessary to write two different ways. I just corrected that. Please, don't change my correction. The first time I corrected, I forgot to log in. I'm french and I use to correct french articles.
Greetings. Pigaillem (talk) 15:51, 27 September 2023 (UTC)
- I'm so sorry about that. I misinterpreted your edit as vandalism. I should've researched more about the topic before I reverted it. Happy editing! —asparagusus (interaction) sprouts! 18:24, 27 September 2023 (UTC)

Why did you remove my contributions to Not Just Bikes
Hello,
I am writing you because I cannot understand why you (among others) have removed my contributions on Not Just Bikes. The stated reason is that it goes against Wikipedia's policy of NPOV, but, my contributions actually strengthen the NPOV principle. The article was lacking any sort of mention of the critics of NJB, and I decided to give them their righteous space in a NPOV encyclopedia. I felt the need to put the whole quote in the article without omission, as that would be tempering with the quote's original message and I am not qualified to omit certain paragraphs for that reason. I am for a NPOV and against censorship so I ask you again: why did my contributions get deleted?
Note that I also warned against starting a so-called "edit war", there was no response to this. Rather than removing my contribution, might I suggest we have a civil debate in the talk page of Not Just Bikes?
Greetings CommissieVervoersMigratie (talk) 21:20, 16 October 2023 (UTC)
- Hello CommissieVervoersMigratie. I'm just going to respond here as this is where you posted. First, I recommend you read the policy on edit wars rather than warn me against starting one, when you could've started the discussion initially after your first revert. No critics have a "righteous space in an NPOV encyclopedia". As Skdb said, any reception section should also have positive/other reception, lest the critique have undue weight. The quote you grabbed was actually a criticism section from another article that was a collection of non-attributed quotes. It was also 2.5 times the size of the article before you added it, which raises a lot of concern about a copyright violation. Saying "Not all people are a fan of NJB" is unencyclopedic. A criticism section should have multiple examples to be due weight. I was not censoring the quote. If you really think that the reader needs the whole three-paragraph, 250-word, multi-unattributed-quote section, maybe just put that in the external links? I mean, first you'd have to make sure the link worked. You have not stated the country that the Commission on Mobility Migration is from, the person who wrote that text, the people who were quoted in that text, and whether the text is translated, which it looks to be based on the prose. Have a good day! —asparagusus (interaction) sprouts! 21:44, 16 October 2023 (UTC)

Jeanne Socrates
I added her youtube as an external link. Just like her a link is there to her web page.
I also added in that she is currently documenting her journey on her youtube. something I though would be of interest to someone trying to understand what is going on with her.. and the source of her documentation.. is her youtube. I am not Jeanne.. but have met her and think that the more information about a humble person would be good.
Can you identify the problem with giving more external links to a topic of interest?
Thank you in advance.. 82.41.88.77 (talk) 13:19, 25 November 2023 (UTC)
- Hello IP! Sorry about the wait; I was with family over the past week. The way that you presented the information in the article seemed a little bit like an advertisement. Also, the only source was her YouTube channel, which doesn't show that the information is a notable fact about her. I think that you should just put the link in the external links section. —asparagusus (interaction) sprouts! 14:31, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
- it was in links.. and saying she is going round the world based on self published blog.. is fine... I just don't get what the deal is.. 82.41.88.77 (talk) 15:19, 28 November 2023 (UTC)

Hi Asparagusus I don't know who you are and you don't know who I am but I've been trying to find someone who review my drafts it's been 10 days since I last submitted them again for review and no reviewer has reviewed them since than. Drafts for review
Hi asparagus can you review my articles and see if they are worthy to be included in Wikipedia. These articles meet all general notability requirements for inclusion in Wikipedia and that they are separate languages with their Iso codes and reference codes and names. Here they are. They are also not redirects as Anomie bot and Rober Mclennon only added redirects based on similar names but they are totally different language articles that i have created with information verified and reliable. Rollback granted
Hi Asparagusus. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:
- Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or Ultraviolet. It just adds a [Rollback] button next to a page's latest live revision - that's all. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only. Never use rollback to revert good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose or any other inappropriate purpose, the rights will be revoked.
- Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, ask!
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! —Femke 🐦 (talk) 09:34, 24 February 2024 (UTC)

Unconstructive edit
I don't think "wincest" is merely a Supernatural thing. It's old 4chan slang (it specifically arose out of the anime fanbase for the "incest-teasing/imouto" genre of romantic anime, which culminated with Oreimo - that was far more over the internet than Supernatural was at the time, specifically around late 2010-11), and I think the old redirect should be restored. 87.116.164.218 (talk) 21:46, 7 March 2024 (UTC)
- I’m fairly sure Wincest is a portmanteau based on the main characters of Supernaturals’ surname. Please provide a reliable source. However, I should not have called your edit vandalism as I can see where you’re coming from. —asparagusus (interaction) sprouts! 22:00, 7 March 2024 (UTC)

RFA2024 update: no longer accepting new proposals in phase I
Hey there! This is to let you know that phase I of the 2024 requests for adminship (RfA) review is now no longer accepting new proposals. Lots of proposals remain open for discussion, and the current round of review looks to be on a good track towards making significant progress towards improving RfA's structure and environment. I'd like to give my heartfelt thanks to everyone who has given us their idea for change to make RfA better, and the same to everyone who has given the necessary feedback to improve those ideas. The following proposals remain open for discussion:
- Proposal 2, initiated by HouseBlaster, provides for the addition of a text box at Wikipedia:Requests for adminship reminding all editors of our policies and enforcement mechanisms around decorum.
- Proposals 3 and 3b, initiated by Barkeep49 and Usedtobecool, respectively, provide for trials of discussion-only periods at RfA. The first would add three extra discussion-only days to the beginning, while the second would convert the first two days to discussion-only.
- Proposal 5, initiated by SilkTork, provides for a trial of RfAs without threaded discussion in the voting sections.
- Proposals 6c and 6d, initiated by BilledMammal, provide for allowing users to be selected as provisional admins for a limited time through various concrete selection criteria and smaller-scale vetting.
- Proposal 7, initiated by Lee Vilenski, provides for the "General discussion" section being broken up with section headings.
- Proposal 9b, initiated by Reaper Eternal, provides for the requirement that allegations of policy violation be substantiated with appropriate links to where the alleged misconduct occured.
- Proposals 12c, 21, and 21b, initiated by City of Silver, Ritchie333, and HouseBlaster, respectively, provide for reducing the discretionary zone, which currently extends from 65% to 75%. The first would reduce it 65%–70%, the second would reduce it to 50%–66%, and the third would reduce it to 60%–70%.
- Proposal 13, initiated by Novem Lingaue, provides for periodic, privately balloted admin elections.
- Proposal 14, initiated by Kusma, provides for the creation of some minimum suffrage requirements to cast a vote.
- Proposals 16 and 16c, initiated by Thebiguglyalien and Soni, respectively, provide for community-based admin desysop procedures. 16 would desysop where consensus is established in favor at the administrators' noticeboard; 16c would allow a petition to force reconfirmation.
- Proposal 16e, initiated by BilledMammal, would extend the recall procedures of 16 to bureaucrats.
- Proposal 17, initiated by SchroCat, provides for "on-call" admins and 'crats to monitor RfAs for decorum.
- Proposal 18, initiated by theleekycauldron, provides for lowering the RfB target from 85% to 75%.
- Proposal 24, initiated by SportingFlyer, provides for a more robust alternate version of the optional candidate poll.
- Proposal 25, initiated by Femke, provides for the requirement that nominees be extended-confirmed in addition to their nominators.
- Proposal 27, initiated by WereSpielChequers, provides for the creation of a training course for admin hopefuls, as well as periodic retraining to keep admins from drifting out of sync with community norms.
- Proposal 28, initiated by HouseBlaster, tightens restrictions on multi-part questions.
To read proposals that were closed as unsuccessful, please see Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/2024 review/Phase I/Closed proposals. You are cordially invited once again to participate in the open discussions; when phase I ends, phase II will review the outcomes of trial proposals and refine the implementation details of other proposals. Another notification will be sent out when this phase begins, likely with the first successful close of a major proposal. Happy editing! theleekycauldron (talk • she/her), via:

The person using this IP address has long been a vandalist, repeatedly adding large amounts of unsourced content. and delete maintenance tags without correcting them
Hi Asparagusus, I found that there are two IP address ranges 2001:1388:A44:0:0:0:0:0
and 2001:1388:A45:0:0:0:0:0 All edits from the IP address found to be the same person. Harassing and deleting content in other articles which had administrators warn and rollback more than 20 disruptive edits Found the latest edit, redo it. 2001:1388:A44:EDDB:98F3:C8BE:82C6:175D
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/2001:1388:A44:EDDB:98F3:C8BE:82C6:175D
Repeatedly adding unsourced content and deleting maintenance tags by correcting them and not explained in the article Nine (singer) in terms of being a fan club Due to adding content to live broadcast activities to sell products Duplicate content is added which is not important. As with most of the content in this article
You can help check and revert the last edit of 2001:1388:A44:EDDB:98F3:C8BE:82C6:175D Is this possible? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/2001:1388:A44:EDDB:98F3:C8BE:82C6:175D This person from Peru is using the same IP address range to harass many other articles, using the same IP address range, but the address Unique IP to avoid blocking
This person is constantly adding a lot of unsourced content. Deleting maintenance tags without correcting them Repeatedly adding unsourced content to Nine (singer)'s articles after being warned and the administrators reverting the edits. He has been doing the same behavior for a long time. The latest modification behavior I consider serious because it has been doing it for a long time is being warned with different IP addresses. Therefore, no one can block his actions. https://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Nine_(singer)&action=history
Edit history Nine (singer) has only one person, IP addresses starting with 2001:1388:A45 and 2001:1388:A44 all are the same person The edits will be made in the same way, namely adding information to the article without the source in Nine (singer) and deleting and disturbing other articles. which always has admin rollback This person made repeated changes with new IP addresses like this.
The entire article was edited by the same person, unexplained removal of maintenance tags, and recently used a new IP address to add a lot of unsourced content.
Administrators address disruptive IP address user behavior issues. Continuously adding unsourced content to Nine (singer) A single person from Lima, Peru, used the IP address to reverse an update notification. Unexplained deletion of maintenance tags Modifications were not performed according to the maintenance tag instructions. Please disturb other articles as well. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/2001:1388:A45:7B00:358F:FBE6:A148:46A0
repeated addition of unsourced content I think examining a person is difficult. This person from Lima, Peru uses a different IP address every time they resolve. Every time delete and add information to another article. will be reversed Then edit again with the new IP address.
This person created information in the Nine (singer) article and also caused mischief in other articles. Add information without references Administrators always roll back edits that this person deleted on other articles. Editing that disturbs another article and edited and added information only to the article Nine (singer) The person using all IP addresses in this Nine (singer) article is the same person who removed the maintenance tag without editing it.
The person using all the IP addresses I attached is the same person. I'm only giving examples because there are many. The entire article Nine (singer) has an IP address from the same person from Lima, Peru, but the IP address in the update is different every time the information is added. This person deleted the maintenance tag notice. Delete without correcting Most articles lack references. As I looked at the article's history, Nine (singer) has been doing this for a long time, but no user has come to check on this person.
Edit history of this article There is an IP address from Peru adding a lot of content. and repeat it many times continuously. without reference source The IP address in every edit is different. But I and another user checked and it was all the same person.

Hi there! Phase I of the Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/2024 review has concluded, with several impactful changes gaining community consensus and proceeding to various stages of implementation. Some proposals will be implemented in full outright; others will be discussed at phase II before being implemented; and still others will proceed on a trial basis before being brought to phase II. The following proposals have gained consensus:
- Proposals 2 and 9b (phase II discussion): Add a reminder of civility norms at RfA and Require links for claims of specific policy violations
- Proposal 3b (in trial): Make the first two days discussion-only
- Proposal 13 (in trial): Admin elections
- Proposal 14 (implemented): Suffrage requirements
- Proposals 16 and 16c (phase II discussion): Allow the community to initiate recall RfAs and Community recall process based on dewiki
- Proposal 17 (phase II discussion): Have named Admins/crats to monitor infractions
- Proposal 24 (phase II discussion): Provide better mentoring for becoming an admin and the RfA process
- Proposal 25 (implemented): Require nominees to be extended confirmed
See the project page for a full list of proposals and their outcomes. A huge thank-you to everyone who has participated so far :) looking forward to seeing lots of hard work become a reality in phase II. theleekycauldron (talk), via MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 08:08, 5 May 2024 (UTC)
