Regarding recent page move
I withdrawed my request because after putting that request i observed that the user who moved the page without discussion has stated "name change" as a reason for change, so at that time i wasn't aware of facts/news that if the name is really changed or not, so i just withdrawed my request to get some time to collect information regarding the name changed or not, and still at this time, i do not have any idea that whether the name is changed or not as i have not found any news article regarding this, so i suppose that the name is not changed and i think that user was either lying or was unware that the name hasn't changed. so i support the current title (kalaburagi division), no need to move it to old one (kalyana karnataka divison), until and unless name is not changed, so i request you that you too (if possible) try to find some reliable sources regarding name change, and also try to ask to that user about the source of name change, if he/she has any!!! BeanGreenCar (talk) 17:51, 5 December 2021 (UTC)
Okay, that's good then. I did do a brief search before I moved it back and was not able to source the change yet. If there is a name change, we should always wait for sources to catch up. I appreciate your reply. I'll keep an eye out, if the name for the division was changed it will likely be reported on. WP:NAMECHANGES is relevant here, if that helps. Deleting past edits no longer current
I have no clue how to "redact" "1060499823(Copyvios report) to 1060533593 (inclusive)" from the now-revised article Ken R. Harewood as requested. So, if you know how, please do it yourself. In the meantime, I am removing your tag. I already edited the saved article extensively to remove the offending text, which I admit I should have done in the Sandbox before creating the article. Your other tag,
- The topic of this article may not meet Wikipedia's notability guideline for academics. (December 2021)
- The neutrality of this article is disputed. (December 2021)
is specious and is therefore deleted. --Zeamays (talk) 13:04, 16 December 2021 (UTC)
- That's not how this works. The redaction (WP:RD1) tag is to be removed only by an administrator after processing the request (the tag was not for you, but for an admin.) Leaving copyrighted material in the revision history exposes Wikipedia to liability. Generally, it is also not advised to remove tags from a page unless the issues have been resolved. I will revisit the page later and see whether I can fix the issues myself rather than restoring all of the tags, as I can see you have had issues with edit warring in the past, so I would rather avoid wasting time engaging in meaningless conflict.
- I will be restoring the RD1 tag, which can be addressed by an admin, and will take another look at the article later. I'm not here to argue, and you really shouldn't take article tags personally, they're only there to solicit improvement. ASUKITE 15:03, 16 December 2021 (UTC)
Industrial scientists pose a special problem for those trying to document their achievements. Unlike academics, they seldom publish, and Pfizer has a long history of using "industrial secrecy", rather than patents to protect its technology. Much of what you claim is undocumented, I know from my personal acquaintance from this minority scientist to be true. You are definitely missing something, but it is a very difficult case for other reasons that I cannot reveal. I am continuing to seek references from Barbadian sources, but this will take some time. Please don't do anything drastic in the meantime.--Zeamays (talk) 18:45, 17 December 2021 (UTC)
- I don't plan on it, but I can't speak for other editors. If you know the individual you are writing about, I would say that you have a conflict of interest. In that case, it's always best to work from a draft, enabling others to review your work and ensure it stands the best possible chance against being deleted. You are always free to move it to draftspace, or I can if you'd like, but I won't do anything else for the time being. There are quite enough articles needing attention at the moment anyways. - I knew him as a colleague at Pfizer in the 1980s. I never worked under him; he was in a different group. That doesn't constitute a COI. --Zeamays (talk) 15:20, 18 December 2021 (UTC)
Re: 30XX cover art
Hi, I appreciate your addition of a cover art to the article but I already had a better one prepared. Fair use guidelines say that images can be up to 100k pixels, so even for fair use that was rather small. I replaced yours with the new one, so I'd recommend just speedy deleting the old one as it's no longer necessary. ZXCVBNM (TALK) 23:22, 24 December 2021 (UTC)
- No problem. Thanks for letting me know, and for the bit about 100k pixels. I'd been looking for a more objective guideline to go by and that should help in the future. ASUKITE 01:34, 25 December 2021 (UTC)
