Precious anniversary

- Gerda Arendt thanks for the precious anniversary! Also I got the new iPhone 14 Pro and love it! cookie monster 755 03:51, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
Media's dragging their feet.
I'll wait another 24-hrs, to see if there's a consensus for changing the intro from "Queen consort..." to "Queen..." (with a link to the British consorts list page), since I suspect emotions are still high. Don't know why so many news media, want to treat Queen Camilla so differently from the other 'current' queen consorts. Is it partially, to avoid confusion with Elizabeth II? or partially a 'Diana forever, Camilla never' thing? who knows. GoodDay (talk) 03:43, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
- I concur. This whole Camilla is queen / not queen but queen consort drama is because of the enduring popularity of the late Diana, Princess of Wales. What the media says is irrelevant. She is legally, and entitled to be called, Her Majesty The Queen. I am not sure why Clarence House is referring to her as Her Majesty The Queen Consort. I don't know if it is temporary to distinguish from her mother-in-law or permanent out of respect for Diana, Princess of Wales. We just don't know yet so we can't speculate per WP:CRYSTALBALL. All I can say is I supported moving it to Queen Camilla per consistency. All other female British consorts are entitled to Her Majesty The Queen and Camilla is not an exception, regardless of what Diana fans and general media think. Thank you for all your hard work regarding this issue, GoodDay. Hopefully in the next few months we can figure out what is going on. cookie monster 755 03:48, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
- No doubt by 2023, the news media will stop repeating the "consort" bit :) GoodDay (talk) 03:57, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
- Thank goodness. Whether you like Camilla or not, she is simply Her Majesty The Queen . cookie monster 755 04:00, 18 September 2022 (UTC)
