Do you know anything about James A. Wiggins? He seems to have been influential and to have held importamt posts but I can't find much about him. FloridaArmy (talk) 00:02, 27 March 2019 (UTC)
- Ehhhh he doesn't really seem to fall under Wikipedia's notability policy WP:N. To quote from it: "This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject." Wiggins really isn't relevant enough to have a full article posted on him and there are no sources on him either. No gravestone that says his birthday even. Also, to quote from the University of Central Florida's archives at https://ucf.digital.flvc.org/islandora/object/ucf%3A22355/datastream/OBJ/view/The_Florida_historical_quarterly.pdf: "The members of the Executive Council were elected individually by the Convention: James A. Wiggins of Marion County ..., M. D. Papy of Leon ..., W. D. Barnes of Jackson ... and Smith Simkins of Jefferson on the eleventh. Among these men only M. D. Papy remains as something of a lasting name in Florida political history, having served as Attorney General of the State from 1853 to 1860."

DGG ( talk ) 05:36, 17 April 2019 (UTC)And, as a personal message, very good work! Please continue-- as you know, every successive holder of this office is an appropriatesubject for an article. There 's no reason why you need to continue using draft space--just write directly in main space--it cuts down on the overhead for usoverworked reviewers. DGG ( talk ) 05:37, 17 April 2019 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for April 22
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Idaho Attorney General, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Frank Martin (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Law and politics
I noticed you moved George Gibbs into the Politics section. But law and politics are different subjects. It makes sense to me therefore when disambiguating to have separate sections for Politics, which contains elected officials and diplomats, and Law, which contains lawyers and judges. Although most politicians are lawyers, that isn't a prerequisite to getting elected or to becoming president of the U.S. You can get appointed to the Supreme Court without a law degree. The difference between the two subjects gets muddled, but it's an important one.

- He was an elected official, serving as the Florida Attorney General from 1938 until 1941. The choice is yours, I'm not gonna make the change.

Florida's 5th House district
Please fix the MOS:DATED problems in the article. As an encyclopedia article what you write today should still read sensibly in twenty years time. Phrases like "current representative" and "district currently covers" immediately cause the reader to ask "when?". Other than that issue it looks good and I'm marking the article as patrolled. Thanks for your contribution. Cabayi (talk) 07:11, 28 October 2019 (UTC)
