The Republican Party presidential primaries results, 2012 map
[edit]I really cant find my way around these svg maps, so I write to you about it. You fine changes have been reverted by Bielsko, that apparently havent understood the difference betwin old projections, popular vote and a plurality in delegates.
He is right in one thing though. Colorado did go to Romney. Even though some say that the uncommitted delegates are Paul supporters it can be used to show plurality because the officially are uncommitted and that is all what matters when it comes to plurality. So maybe you can change Colorado from Santorum to Romney too?
He also says that Michigan is tied, That must be simple ignorance since Romney got 16 delegates to Santorums 14. Better to just ignore that.
But according to a map showing who won plurality (what really for the first time ever matters with the new five states rule (40)) then it is right that Maine, Missouri, Iowa, Louisiana and Washington are still undecided and since they have caucuses that didnt allocated delegates no candidate can show plurality before delegates are actually elected. (not even in Louisiana where some delegates are allocated)
I explain all this in Talk:Republican Party presidential primaries, 2012#How do we count states carried or won?
Even though Mr. Bielsko doesnt know excactly what he is talking about he is right. If the map are to show what matters in the real world (Plurality) it should be done consistent. And I am such a idiot with maps, so to persuade you to do the work (please).
Changes:
Minnesota = Paul
Colorado and Virgin Islands = Romney
Iowa, Louisiana, Maine, Missouri and Washington State = Undecided (gray)
I hope you have the time to make the map better. When it is done I can write the new notes in the infobox if you like. Jack Bornholm (talk) 16:40, 29 April 2012 (UTC)
- Now I have actually made a map with all the changes I talk about (my first SVG map) but I simply cant figure out how to upload it to the File:Republican Party presidential primaries results, 2012.svg. If you want to teach me please send me a note explaining it on my talkpage: User talk:Jack Bornholm Jack Bornholm (talk) 19:58, 29 April 2012 (UTC)
The Empire Strikes Back (disambiguation)
[edit](User warning given in error by me on 28 May removed). Ubcule (talk) 14:40, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
- (Comment copied from my talk page): The Falklands War was popularly dubbed "The Empire Strikes Back" by Time Magazine (http:/upwiki/wikipedia/en/7/7a/The_empire_strikes_back_newsweek.jpg) and other media sources. It's not called that much anymore, but it definitely isn't nonsense. Dan Wang (talk) 15:34, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
- Okay, fair point- though it probably would have been useful to have clarified this on the dab page. :-) My apologies for slapping a "test2" on you(!)
- I suspect that this was an American media thing, as it's never really been known as that in the UK. If you think it would be genuinely useful, feel free to put it back with the explanation. All the best, Ubcule (talk) 21:33, 28 May 2012 (UTC)

The tweet of the official spokesman and head of strategic communications for the National Resistance Front in Afghanistan
[edit]I want to point out again that nrfafg.com has nothing to do with the Front nor the Twitter account that was taken as the source, both are impostors and have nothing to do with the National Resistance Front in Afghanistan.

The tweet of the official spokesman and head of strategic communications for the National Resistance Front in Afghanistan. EBUBAKIR (talk) 05:39, 30 June 2022 (UTC)
- I believe https://www.nrfafg.org is the genuine website. It's the one that the NRF's Twitter page links to (https://twitter.com/nrfafg), which is itself linked to by the NRF's Head of Foreign Relations (https://twitter.com/alinazary) Dan Wang (talk) 21:54, 20 July 2022 (UTC)
- Dear Sir, what you are doing in modifying the registered website of the National Resistance Front in Afghanistan is incorrect
- (((his is the website linked to by https://twitter.com/NRFafg, which is itself linked to by the NRF's Head of Foreign Relations, Ali Nazary (https://twitter.com/alinazary))))
- Neither nrfafg is the twitter page of the National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, nor is the nrfafg.com website, so I ask you to check the spokesperson's office and the evidence you have provided.

- This statement, issued by the spokesperson of the National Resistance Front, Sibghatullah Ahmadi, through his official Twitter account, clarifies the Twitter account and website of the National Resistance Front. Therefore, I ask that you check the information provided to you before making any decision. I ask you to return the site to what it was before and not to change anything unless it was officially issued by the competent authorities.
- thank you in advance EBUBAKIR (talk) 09:32, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
- You can see in the tweet the page that imitates us and you thought it was official. He forgot to delete the video in which the name of our site appears clearly. I think this evidence is enough to be convinced EBUBAKIR (talk) 09:41, 21 July 2022 (UTC)
