I have put an edit in a wiki article citing a correction to information re Maiden voyage of Southern Cross cruise ship in 1955. there seems to be some problem

There were two problems with your edit. Firstly, you added the code for a footnote but no content to be put in the footnote. Secondly, going by the edit summary, you were trying to change content based on a published source into something based on your own memory of events 60 years ago. That won't do. Wikipedia content must be verifiable from published sources. You'll agree that accepting "Trust me, it's true!" would set a bad precedent. Huon (talk) 00:47, 9 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
