PACIFIC WEST COLLEGE OF LAW

Pacific West College of Law was founded in 1993. The College began with approval from the Council for Private Post Secondary Education of the Department of Education of the State of California to grant the Bachelor of Science in Law and Juris Doctor Degrees. A Dean from Lincoln Law School was instrumental in approving these first degrees. After three years of steady growth, and an expanding curriculum, the school received approval to add three Masters Degree programs. A Dean from South Western Law School granted the primary approval for these three additional Master Degrees.

The College currently shares facilities and other assets with South Coast College.


Pacific West College of Law (PWCL) is an unaccredited, private law school located at 2011 West Chapman Ave in the City of Orange, California. Pacific West College of Law offers a part-time, four-year evening law program. It also offers LLM Degrees and Masters and Bachelor of Science in Law.


STATE BAR REGISTRATION

Pacific West College of Law is registered with the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California as an unaccredited law school in California and may grant the Juris doctor in Law (J.D.) degree. Its students must take and pass the First-Year Law Students' Examination, also known as the FYLSX or BABY BAR at the end of their first year in order to receive credit for their law study and eventually qualify to sit for the California Bar Examination. It not approved by the American Bar Association.
